Music duo, DopeNation has finally broken their silence over their alleged “musty” relationship with former record label signee, Adelaide the Seer.
According to DopeNation, their relationship with their one-time signee has not deteriorated as falsely reported. DopeNation, however, confirmed a break of partnership and the lack to renew or sign a new record deal.
“We didn’t get the chance to go on a deal with her. We are on good terms and we still keep in touch”.

Speaking on why they couldn’t renew their contract with Adelaide, DopeNation disclosed that there were many issues to consider, and that hindered their signing of a new deal. Despite the lack of a deal, DopeNation indicated that they are willing to work with the artiste whenever possible.
“It has a lot to do with issues at home and connecting to the fact that she’s supposed to be an artist. It has to do with herself too. So, all those things factored in. All the same, we are still in contact with her and anytime, anywhere, we will just have to do what we have to do. Our aim was to make sure that our music impacts live and it’s happening. So, we are just proud of it”.

Dope Nation further shared their disappointment about the false news of alleged extortion and fraud concerning their business with Adelaide the Seer. They disclosed how they wanted to bring the perpetrators to book. However, after careful consideration, they had a change of mind.
“We saw the news on the fact that we were not working with her anymore and angrily took all her accounts and her music, but, that’s not it. Actually, we were looking for who brought out the news, but we realized that we would end up destroying our relationship with certain people”.

Adelaide the Seer made a brief but impactful entry on the music scene after DopeNation discovered her. After releasing songs and earning a nomination later, the soulful singer is currently ‘missing in action’. Addressing her disappearance, Dope Nation suggested that she might be exploring other things.
“Right now, we could just be bold and say she’s a certified gospel artiste, and she’s doing well in that. But then, she also has a lot of things she wants to explore, that’s the way we see it”.

Touting Adelaide as “very talented”, the music duo revealed that she is featured on their new album ‘Atta’, and they are ready to shoot the music video for the song after seeking permission from her parents and guardians.
Adelaide the Seer became popular after DopeNation released some songs with her. Touching on how they met the young singer, the duo music producers revealed that they had about five beats they wanted to give out to an artist. Given this, they went in search of new people to give those five beats and ensure their music has a positive impact on the lives of others. It was then that they had an encounter with Adelaide the Seer and they gave her the beats. According to the musicians, they saw that she was a perfect fit for the project, hence they decided to work with her.
