King Promise has shared that he went all out in shooting the video for his latest song, 'Slow Down', because he is determined to realize global domination.

Ghanaian highlife artiste, King Promise

Artist King Promise joining the conversation on whether TikTok is helping musicians said anyone who thinks TikTok is not part of the marketing strategy is a fool.

Some TikTokers claimed some time ago that without their promotion on the app, most songs won’t trend and King Promise seems to be on the same page with them to some extent as he shares his thoughts on that.

According to him, you might be a fool to think that TikTok is not part of marketing music since that has become the new norm and most songs go viral on that platform, hence artists are urged to see TikTok as a promoting app for their music.

King Promise Talks about latest album

King Promise has finally dropped his second studio album. The album is titled ‘5STAR’ and he shared some insights on the album.

In his submission, he said; “I initially planned to keep the #5STARAlbum to 11 tracks. We ended up having 15 tracks. #5STARAlbum took me two years to make. The production of the #5STARAlbum began during the COVID-19 lockdown. I can’t really pick a favorite from the #5STARAlbum”.

He also disclosed why he collaborated with Nigerian artist, Patoranking, on his hit song ‘Chop life’.

MOBO Gregory Promise Bortey Newman, who is popularly known as King Promise, has said that there is no need to have personal contact with an artist before giving out support to promote the artist.
Ghanian singer, King Promise.

“When I was doing the song, I did it alone but later when I was listening, it just came into my head that this song if I had Patoranking on it, it’ll be marvelous. So, I asked Killbeatz and he also agreed with me that it’ll be great so it was a very easy decision to make because Patoranking is one of my very good friends”.

King Promise

King Promised revealed that it was easy getting Patoranking to feature on his track because the Nigerian artist featured him on his last Album.

King Promise shared his proudest moment. According to him, the proudest moment in his life came when he dropped his first studio album. The album was named ‘As Promised’ and was released in July 2019.

The ‘Oh Yeah’ crooner also touched on how he felt after going home with no award at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).

King Promise failed to win an award after he bagged several nominations. Speaking about this, he stated that he was hoping to go home with some awards, however, that was not the case. He also mentioned that he was disappointed for not winning any award.

“I connect with my fans via the internet. When I see them in person, I never say no to pictures, videos, and all that stuff. I am not the type who says I wanna be in my space when fans come around. I haven’t given up on the VGMAs. I performed and went home with zero awards. People think I am not visible enough so I am working on that now. I was hoping to go home with some awards but the day went how it went. I was disappointed for not winning any awards”.
