As speculation about her recent weight loss twisted, Teni decided to set the record straight and share her story. Rumors had circulated that her remarkable change was the result of surgery, but Teni took the opportunity to clarify the truth.
The “Billionaire” singer confirmed that her weight loss was entirely natural. She revealed that it was her total determination and willpower that led to her transformation, putting to rest any doubts or rumors about surgical interventions. She also urged people that they could do it too.
She believes that her journey can serve as a testimony to the fact that anyone can achieve their weight loss goals through hard work and determination. Her journey to a healthier lifestyle has always been a part of her story.

Comedienne Real Warri Pikin, also known as Anita Osuoha, made headlines for her impressive weight loss transformation earlier this year. She candidly shared her before-and-after photos on Instagram, providing a glimpse into her remarkable journey.
Real Warri Pikin admitted that it took her some time to muster the courage to discuss her weight loss journey openly. She needed to fully understand and embrace the changes she had undergone, much like Teni.

Words to be inscribed on the grave
Singer, Teniola Apata also known as Teni spelled out the inscription she desires on her grave when she’s eventually no more.
Acknowledging the transitory nature of human life, Teni revealed her tombstone should hold the words, “She lived life on her own terms”.
She highlighted the importance of self-expression while alive, in a bid to be able to tell one’s story by oneself, an opportunity that vanishes at death. “My father died when I was two years old. If you die today, life goes on. You don’t get to express yourself”, the 30-year-old said.
“Expressing yourself is very important. The people who judge you will die too. So, they would die with their own stories. You die with your own story. I’m living my life because these are my terms to let the world know who I am. It’s my term to sing when I’m feeling down when I’m feeling up. It’s my term to express myself. I’m not going to be here forever. None of us are leaving this world alive.
“On my grave, I want them to write, ‘She lived life on her own terms’. Yes, I want to die happy. I’m going to die empty. A lot of people carry so much greatness in them but are too afraid to express themselves. Trust me, the graveyard is full of so many dreams and talents. Things that could have changed the world”.

Also, Teni revealed that the trauma of watching her dad, Simeon Apata, a retired Nigerian army Brigadier-General, being assassinated affected her life.
“My father was a disciplinarian. He was a soldier and he owned a school; Apata Memorial High School. He was also a big philanthropist”, Teni said.
“Growing up with my father passing at such a young age, the trauma of losing my father at a young age affected me. You know, him being assassinated in the presence of all of us and all that stuff. I was 2 at the time. His passing away robbed me as a child of having a father figure. It sort of made me have trust issues growing up. Because they [gunmen] came into our house purposely to kill him”.
