2024 Polls; Former NDC PC For Upper West Akyem Urges Ghanaians To Vote For John Mahama

A former Parliamentary Aspirant for the opposition National Democratic Congress in the Upper West Akyem Constituency in the Eastern Region, Enoch Ansah has urged Ghanaians, particularly the youth to vote for the party’s flagbearer, Former President John Dramani Mahama as the country’s President in the 2024 general elections.

Mr Enoch Ansah in a very long-tale statement argued that the National Democratic Congress flagbearer, Former President John Dramani Mahama possesses the best leadership qualities and the right experience that makes him the ideal candidate for the country in the 2024 general elections.

According to him, Mr Mahama under his first term in office as President demonstrated remarkable commitment towards the progress and development of the country.

“We have barely a year to electing President and members of Parliament across the country. Job creation, employment opportunities, better services, Agriculture, a better Economy, the Youth must survive project etc are what we must yearn for. We must go for individuals with track records, experienced leadership, competent and honest leaders. We must send a strong message to the elephant family by coming out boldly on December 7, 2024. Money must not change our collective resolve to rescue majority of our parliamentary seats for the NDC and to maximizing the votes of JDM in our constituencies come December 7, 2024 to securing Victory”.

NDC And Mahama’s Achievements

Again, touting the achievements of the National Democratic Congress flagbearer, Former President John Dramani Mahama, Mr Enoch Ansah, asserted that Mr Mahama’s commitment to job creation and reducing youth unemployment in the country is unmatched and uncontested.

According to him, the establishment of the Kumasi shoe factory, Savannah cement factory, Komenda sugar factory, Savannah Accelerated Development Authority and Youth Entrepreneurial Agency are all clear indications of Mr Mahama’s commitment to job creation in the country when he was the president.

He indicated that the National Democratic Congress administration while in office created several jobs and improved the livelihood of many Ghanaians through its major initiatives, factories and projects.

Moreover, the former National Democratic Congress Parliamentary Aspirant in the Upper West Akyem Constituency touted Mr Mahama’s achievements in education while as president and emphasized that Mr Mahama’s contribution to the country’s education sector is phenomenal.

“Education About 1, 616 projects were constructed for basic schools alone under JM’s administration, eg, most schools in Accra abolished the shift system of education, textbooks and exercise books were freely distributed to school children as well as uniforms and sandals. The proposed 200 community SHS project was on course of which 123 of the schools were awarded on contract. 10, 400 scholarships were awarded to some community students in order to make education available to all (progressively free SHS) some community boarding schools were also enrolled on the progressive free SHS programme. The NDC turned all polytechnics into technical universities”.

Speaking on infrastructure, Mr Enoch Ansah recounted that the National Democratic Congress administration under Former President John Dramani Mahama invested massively in the road sector throughout the country with the Eastern Corridor, Cocoa Roads and the construction of several inter-changes in the country including the Circle and Kasoa interchanges.

According to him, Mr Mahama’s administration also provided several intra-city bus systems and upgraded the Tamale and Kumasi International Airport in addition to the construction of both the second and third phases of the famous Terminal 3 of the Kotoka International Airport.

Mr Enoch Ansah concluded by highlighting on the National Democratic Congress and Mr Mahama’s administration significant investment made in the country’s health sector.

He indicated that the country’s health sector saw a massive investment, particularly in the area of infrastructure which led to the transformation of the Ridge Hospital into Greater Accra Regional Hospital, the construction of the University of Ghana Medical Centre, the Military hospital in Kumasi, dozens of regional hospitals among thousands of CHIPSS compounds across the country that provides the ordinary citizens the opportunity to have access to quality health-care.
