Having joined Newmont in 2002, Francois has held various key positions within the company, including group head exploration, managing director Africa, and General Manager of Tanami operations. Francois succeeds Dean Gehring, who served as the interim CTO while also holding the position of Chief Integration Officer. With Dean’s impending departure in early July, Francois will play a fundamental role in seamlessly transitioning into his new responsibilities and spearheading the company’s technological advancements.
