Joint Forces Plan Counter-Protest Against NDC

The Country Fixing Movement and Patriotic Troopers have released a joint statement declaring their intention to stage a mass protest on September 17, 2024, in response to the NDC’s protest against the Electoral Commission (EC).

The Fixing the Country Movement and Patriotic Troopers of Ghana expressed outrage over the recent barrage of attacks on the EC, which they believe are being orchestrated by the NDC.

According to the groups, the NDC’s accusations imply that the EC is colluding with the ruling NPP to manipulate the outcome of the 2024 general elections, a claim they find deeply troubling.

“When Johnson Asiedu Nketia stood on an NDC campaign platform and called on his partisan followers to go out on the street and demonstrate against the electoral commission on September 17, he was actually making a mockery of our democracy”.

“And when the NDC flagbearer, John Mahama reiterated this call by urging his party membership to go and demonstrate at the offices of the EC, he was being disingenuous and dishonourable. In fact, it is quite clear that the call by the NDC for forensic examination of all the voter roll is borne out of the party’s attempt to bastardize the commission”.

The groups observed that the opposition NDC’s propaganda efforts have degenerated into a self-destructive and counterproductive cycle of internal political infighting.

They pointed out that the NDC’s reliance on propaganda has led to a stifling of genuine political inquiry and debate, as the party’s approach has come to prioritize spin over substance.

The groups noted that it’s unsurprising to see the NDC employing its usual mind-control tactics, attempting to create a narrative that its propaganda is the only truth, in a clear bid to undermine the credibility of the EC and sow discord.

They indicated that their counter-protest on September 17, is aimed at highlighting the unfair and unjustified attacks on the EC by the NDC and demonstrating their support for the EC’s independence.

Citizens Urged To Protect Ghana’s Democracy

Furthermore, the groups urged all peace-loving Ghanaians to unite with the Fixing the Country Movement and Patriotic Troopers in sending a strong message to the NDC that their actions will no longer be tolerated.

The groups emphasized that as responsible citizens, it is our shared duty to prioritize the nation’s interests and stand against those who seek to undermine it.

The groups expressed astonishment that the NDC’s leadership is so weak that it allows former President Mahama to make reckless statements and disrespect the democratic institutions of Ghana with impunity.

“Truly, the NDC has a notoriety for black propaganda and this is one of their antiquated antics. Indeed, this their latest propaganda could very well amount to dancing themselves lame in rehearsals for a dancing contest they may not eventually take part in”.

“The NDC and Mahama remain a clear and present danger to our democracy. In actual fact, the NDC’s desperate bid to grab power using subterfuge is the reason they are targeting the EC. They have been at it, and it has been ineffective over the course of time, and yet they have failed to learn the right lessons”.

The Country Fixing Movement and Patriotic Troopers

The groups observed that the NDC has consistently relied on falsehoods, propaganda, and biased tactics to win elections, resulting in chaos and instability.

They noted that former President Mahama and his supporters have shown no willingness to change their approach, sticking to their old ways.

The groups warned that if given the opportunity, Mahama and his associates would likely undermine the progress made in promoting diversity in Ghana’s political landscape, reflecting their narrow and exclusive perspective.

The groups urged Ghanaians to speak out against Mahama’s harmful actions, which pose a threat to the country’s democratic system.

They emphasized that the public must reject this group of ideologues, who offer no constructive solutions for the country’s progress.

The groups cautioned Ghanaians to be vigilant against Mahama and his followers, who harbor unrealistic and radical ideals that could transform Ghana into a communist state, contrary to the country’s interests.
