The founder and leader of the Movement for Change (MFC) Alan Kwadwo John Kyerematen, has touted his credibility to win December 7th Elections.

Hon. Kyerematen announced that officially he has filed his nomination to contest as the first non-partisan presidential candidate in the Republic of Ghana.

“Ghanaians believe that I’m the man that can get the job done. I have the vision. I have the competence. I also have the integrity and then the capacity for execution.”

He outlined a vision of leadership that transcends partisan politics and places national unity and economic recovery at the forefront.

With his strong emphasis on governance reforms, inclusivity, and fostering national unity. Hon. Kyerematen called on Ghanaians to support his candidacy, presenting himself as the right leader to steer the country out of its current economic and social challenges.

Hon. Kyerematen began by addressing the deep frustrations of Ghanaians with the current political landscape, arguing that the people desire a leader who prioritizes the nation’s interests above the demands of political parties.

He asserted that Ghanaians are looking for a leader who can rise above partisan bickering and act in the interest of the country as a whole.

“The people of this country are looking for a president who fights for the interests of Ghana and not for the interest of political parties”, Hon. Kyeremten remarked.

This statement underscores his belief that the divisiveness that has plagued Ghana’s political system has contributed to the economic and social challenges the country currently faces.

He emphasized that the focus must shift from party allegiances to the pressing needs of the citizens, asserting that the people are looking for a president capable of healing divisions and uniting the nation.

Leading Ghana Out of Economic Crisis

Hon. Kyerematen acknowledged the severe economic crisis Ghana is currently facing and positioned himself as the leader with the competence, integrity, and capacity to solve these issues.

He highlighted his experience and track record as proof that he is equipped to lead the country through these difficult times: “Ghanainas are looking for a president who will bring Ghana out of our economic crisis,” he stated.

Hon. Kyerematen’s confidence in his ability to navigate the economic challenges comes from his vast experience in government and the private sector

As a former Minister of Trade and Industry, he is well-versed in economic matters, and his leadership in developing Ghana’s industrialization strategy has earned him recognition both locally and internationally.

In addition to economic recovery, Hon. Kyerematen emphasized the need for national reconciliation and unity. He pointed out that Ghanaians are searching for a president who can unite the country rather than further divide it.

“They are also looking for a president who will reconcile the nation and unite the nation and not divide the nation,” Hon Kyerematen declared.

Hon. Kyerematen’s message reflects the widespread concern among Ghanaians about the polarization and political divisions that have characterized recent governance.

His focus on unity and reconciliation suggests that he intends to bring all Ghanaians together, irrespective of political, ethnic, or social backgrounds, to work towards a common goal.

Moreover, one of the key aspects of Hon. Kyerematen’s vision is the establishment of a truly representative and inclusive government. He argued that Ghanaians desire an administration that is not only for the people but also created by the people.

“They are also looking for a government, a president who will bring into being a truly representative, all-inclusive government of national unity. A government of the people, by the people, and for the people.”

This promise of inclusivity stands in stark contrast to the often exclusionary politics of the past. Kyerematen’s vision for a government of national unity suggests a break from the norm, where appointments and decision-making processes are based not on political patronage but on merit and national interest.

His proposed government structure aims to involve all segments of society in governance, ensuring that everyone has a voice in shaping the future of Ghana.

Constitutional Reforms for Better Governance

Hon. Kyerematen also highlighted the need for constitutional reforms to improve the quality of governance in Ghana. He indicated that many Ghanaians desire a leader who can spearhead a reform agenda that will ensure greater accountability and efficiency in government.

“They are also looking for a president who will lead the process of constitutional reforms that will improve the quality of governance in our country.”

Hon. Kyeremanten’s statement reflects a broader sentiment that Ghana’s current political system needs to evolve to better serve the needs of the people. Constitutional reforms, according to Kyerematen, will lay the foundation for a more transparent, accountable, and effective governance system.

In addition to economic and governance reforms, Kyerematen stressed the importance of inspiring a change in the mindset and attitudes of Ghanaians.

He believes that such a shift is essential to driving national development and achieving the vision of a prosperous Ghana, saying “They are looking for a president who will inspire behavioral, attitudinal, and mindset change amongst Ghanaians.“

This aspect of his vision suggests that leadership is not only about policy and governance but also about inspiring citizens to take responsibility for their actions and contribute to the nation’s progress.

Hon. Kyerematen sees himself as the leader who can instill this change and set the nation on a path of growth and self-reliance. Hon. Kyerematen made a strong appeal to Ghanaians, asserting that he is the right candidate for the presidency, with the vision, competence, integrity, and capacity to lead the country.

Hon. Kyerematen’s self-assured tone demonstrates his confidence in his abilities and the belief that he is uniquely qualified to lead Ghana through its current challenges.

His emphasis on his track record, vision, and values signals that he is ready to take on the responsibility of leading the nation.

Hon. Kyerematen appealed directly to Ghanaians for their support as he embarks on his historic journey to become the first non-partisan president of Ghana.

He expressed optimism that his candidacy represents a new beginning for the country and urged the electorate to rally behind his movement for change.

“Today, I’m putting it to rest. Alan has filed his nomination and I personally appeal for your support“, Hon. Kyerematen declared, positioning himself as the candidate of the people, ready to serve and lead Ghana toward a brighter future.
