The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) ‘s National Youth Organizer, Lawyer George Opare Addo, has strongly underscored the party’s commitment to safeguarding what he described as the “Reset Ghana” agenda spearheaded by former President John Dramani Mahama.
In a detailed communique, Lawyer Opare Addo condemned what he dubbed attempts by the Electoral Commission of Ghana, security agencies, and other state actors to undermine the electorate’s will in nine constituencies. He characterised these actions as a desperate ploy by the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) to cling to power.
“We all know this is the last desperate attempt by the NPP and their enablers to run away from the people’s accountability come January 7. It will only work in their wet dreams – that, I can assure you.
“As we have already seen in the past few days, H.E John Dramani Mahama’s reset Ghana agenda has begun and will be pushed into full gear with maximum force from January 7 next month. Every irregularity and state-sponsored stolen mandate shall be reset”.

The NDC’s Youth Organizer extolled the role of Ghana’s youth in delivering what he described as an unprecedented margin of almost 1.7 million votes for John Mahama and a two-thirds parliamentary majority for the NDC in the December 7 elections.
He lauded the youth for their decisive stance against “the damage done to this country by this outgoing NPP regime,” highlighting their resolve to demand accountability and good governance.
“This massive and unprecedented margin… did not happen by accident. It is a loud symbolic statement giving meaning to the words – ENOUGH IS ENOUGH,” he emphasized.
Lawyer Opare Addo further stated that the youth’s votes signify a strong call to action to undo the “harm, damage, thievery, and destruction” inflicted on Ghana under the NPP’s governance. He reiterated the NDC’s duty to protect this mandate, describing it as “a loud statement by the youth of this country“.
Accusations of Electoral Subversion
Lawyer George Opare Addo accused the EC, the NPP, and other state institutions of plotting to subvert the electoral mandate in nine constituencies, branding these efforts as a calculated attempt to thwart the will of the people.
He declared that the NDC is ready to challenge any irregularities, emphasising that “every vote shall be protected.” He called on party members and activists to remain vigilant, stressing that the NDC Youth Wing and the Green Army are prepared to safeguard the people’s mandate.
“Every stolen vote shall be retrieved. We shall not allow the stolen mandate in these nine constituencies by the EC and their enablers to stand,” he vowed.
The statement also carried a stern warning to potential internal saboteurs within the NDC. Lawyer Opare Addo cautioned party members against shielding any NPP allies, warning that such actions would be met with resistance from the NDC Youth Wing and the Green Army.
“Any tiniest thought of protecting an NPP friend or relative or partner or crony… shall be crashed with the anger of the Green Army and with brute force,” he declared.
Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) Initiative
Additionally, George Lawyer Opare Addo highlighted the proactive measures John Mahama took ahead of his expected inauguration on January 7.
He praised the establishment of the “Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL)” team, tasked with investigating and recovering funds allegedly misappropriated by the outgoing administration.

In his closing remarks, Lawyer Opare Addo urged NDC supporters to remain calm despite the challenges, expressing confidence in the party’s leadership to steer the affairs of the country.
He reaffirmed the party’s readiness to implement the “Reset Ghana” agenda, promising that Ghana would “work again” under Mahama’s leadership.
“As we have already seen in the past few days, H.E. John Dramani Mahama’s Reset Ghana agenda has begun and will be pushed into full gear with maximum force from January 7,” he assured.
