Nigerian singer Damini Ogulu, known professionally as Burna Boy, has expressed his views on participating in podcast interviews.

According to Burna Boy, he is hesitant to engage in podcast interviews due to concerns about the professionalism of the hosts.

Burna Boy emphasized the importance of being interviewed by individuals who are experts in their respective fields.

However, Burna Boy expressed his willingness to make an exception for media personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.

Burna Boy also shared on his Instagram story, that he would rather kill than die for anyone.

In a bold statement shared via his Instagram story, Burna Boy made it clear that he does not wish to be seen as Fela’s successor or be associated with his legacy.

“Also all that Burna Boy and Fela talk needs to die now. I’m not Fela, I’m BIG7. I’m all about positivity, peace and prosperity.”

However, he also made a controversial remark. “Honestly, I’d rather kill you than die for you,” Burna Boy added.

The statement comes amidst growing public scrutiny, partly stemming from Burna Boy’s recent clash with fellow artist Speed Darlington.

The two have been at odds after Darlington allegedly defamed Burna Boy, leading to accusations that Burna Boy had detained him.

The Grammy-winning Nigerian artist also used the opportunity to address what he perceives as a growing culture of dishonesty.

He took direct aim at unnamed individuals.

“If you ever lied about buying Sujimoto’s house in Banana Island when you only rented it, do better in 2025. If you ever lied about Elele’s house being yours, do better in 2025.

“If you have an aftermarket ‘rainbow Daytona,’ please stop telling people it’s real. Do better in 2025. It should be a criminal offense to tell as many lies as certain men. The list can go on and on.”
