President John Dramani Mahama

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ashanti Region has conveyed its heartfelt appreciation to President John Dramani Mahama for the honor and confidence he has shown in the people of the region by nominating two esteemed individuals to serve in his administration.

This gesture not only underscores the President’s commitment to inclusivity and regional representation but also highlights the significant role the Ashanti Region plays in the national development agenda.

In a statement signed by Abass Nurudeen Esq., the party’s regional Director of Communications, the NDC emphasized that these nominations are a testament to the trust placed in the region’s capacity to contribute meaningfully to the governance and progress of the country.

“The appointment of Hon. Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak as Interior Minister-Designate and Hon. Kenneth Gilbert Adjei as Minister-Designate for Works, Housing, and Water Resources is a testament to President Mahama’s commitment to inclusivity and regional balance in national governance”.

The statement pointed out that their track record of service to the nation has earned them the respect and admiration of many.

As such, the NDC expressed confidence that in these new capacities, both Hon. Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak and Hon. Kenneth Gilbert Adjei will continue to contribute significantly to the nation’s progress.

The NDC also pointed out that they are expected to uphold the values of hard work, integrity, and service in all their endeavors.

Their appointment, the party, indicated, is a reflection of their proven abilities and commitment to national development.

Full Support Pledged for Ministerial Nominees

Furthermore, the Ashanti Region NDC reiterated its unwavering commitment to fully support the nominees, Hon. Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak and Hon. Kenneth Gilbert Adjei, as they prepare to assume their new roles.

The party assured them of its continued encouragement and resources to ensure their success in carrying out these important responsibilities.

The NDC is confident that with the backing of the region, the nominees will effectively contribute to the development and well-being of the nation.

“We also encourage all Ghanaians, especially members of the NDC, to rally behind them to ensure their success in advancing the development agenda of His Excellency President Mahama’s administration”.

NDC Ashanti Region

The party expressed its sincere gratitude to President Mahama for once again placing his trust in the Ashanti Region through these important nominations.

It reaffirmed its steadfast commitment to supporting the President’s leadership and vision for a brighter, more prosperous Ghana. T

he NDC remains dedicated to working alongside President Mahama to ensure the continued progress and development of the nation while upholding the principles of unity, inclusivity, and effective governance.

Meanwhile, these recent appointments from the Ashanti Region serve to dispel any doubts or criticisms suggesting that President Mahama has overlooked the Ashanti region when making key cabinet selections.

The Ashanti Region NDC had earlier firmly dismissed this claim, emphasizing that the assertion that the region has been excluded from ministerial appointments is entirely mischievous and unfounded.

According to the party, it is a deliberate attempt by political opponents to undermine the President’s commitment to inclusivity and fair representation in his government.

Thus, these nominations not only reflect the President’s recognition of the region’s significance in the broader national development agenda but also highlight his commitment to ensuring inclusive representation across all regions.

By entrusting two distinguished individuals from the Ashanti Region with critical roles, President Mahama has demonstrated his resolve to address any concerns of regional marginalization and reaffirmed his dedication to promoting balanced governance across the country.
