Ghanaian Afrobeats sensations DopeNation are poised to take their infectious energy across the continent as they embark on their first major Europe tour this summer.
The identical twin duo, comprised of Micheal Boafo (B2) and Tony Boafo (Twist), announced the “Kakalika Europe Tour” (also known as the DopeNation Experience), riding high on the global momentum of their viral hit “Kakalika.”
The tour, promoted in partnership with Afrovibes.de, scheduled to kick off on May 30, 2026, in Köln, Germany, and run through July 31, 2026.
It promises to deliver high-octane performances blending Ghanis apiano, Afrobeats, highlife, and hip-hop elements that have defined the brothers’ signature sound.
Early confirmed dates include stops in major cities across Germany and the UK, with more announcements expected soon.
The lineup features special hosts, guest appearances, and dynamic dancers to create an unforgettable party atmosphere for diaspora communities and European fans eager to experience authentic Ghanaian vibes.
Ticket sales are set to begin shortly, with organizers urging fans to stay tuned via official channels.
DopeNation’s rise to prominence is a testament to talent, resilience, and innovation. Born in Accra and raised partly in Abeka before moving to Takoradi for their early education, the twins discovered their passion for music young.

They later returned to Accra for tertiary studies at the University of Ghana and Ghana Technology University College. Their breakthrough came after being mentored by producer E.L in 2012, leading to a string of production credits for heavyweight artists including Shatta Wale (“Kpuu Kpaa”), Joey B, Pappy Kojo, Ebony Reigns, Mr Eazi, Olamide, and others.
As artists in their own right, hits like “Eish” (2018), “Naami” (featuring Olamide), “Zanku,” and the Ghanapiano-influenced “Gboza” have solidified their status. They coined the term “Ghanapiano” for their fusion sound and released a dedicated EP in the genre.

Accolades include Group of the Year and Afrobeats Song of the Year at the 2020 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, among multiple nominations.
“Kakalika,” their latest viral sensation, has transcended borders-played during celebrations like FC Barcelona’s La Liga wins and even inspiring dance challenges worldwide.
Fans and commentators are already calling 2026 the “Kakalika Summer,” with the song gaining traction as a potential global anthem.
Recent sightings of the duo at the BBC World Service offices in Accra for pre-tour interviews have further fueled excitement. In a statement shared on social media, the twins expressed gratitude to fans: the tour represents a major milestone in elevating Ghanaian music internationally.
Public Observations
Industry observers see this tour as more than a series of shows- it is a cultural export. Ghanaian music continues its global ascent, with DopeNation joining the ranks of artists bridging African sounds with international audiences.
Their ability to produce for others while maintaining a strong personal brand as performers sets them apart in a competitive industry.
As the countdown to May 30 begins, anticipation is building across social media platforms. Followers of @ghdopenation are flooding comment sections with excitement, sharing stories of how “Kakalika” has become a staple at parties from Accra to London.
This European push comes at a pivotal time for Ghanaian music, highlighting the growing influence of Afrobeats and its sub-genres.
For B2 and Twist, the tour is both a celebration of their journey and a launchpad for the next chapter.
Fans in Europe and beyond are encouraged to secure tickets early and prepare for nights filled with highlife rhythms, infectious chants of “Kakalika,” and the unmistakable energy only DopeNation can deliver. As the twins often say, the party is just getting started.
