The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced the match officials for the second matchday of the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season, with eight fixtures scheduled to be played across the country this weekend.
The Matchday 2 programme will begin on Saturday, September 12, when FC Ashantigold welcome Vision FC to the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi in their first home game of the season.
Jacob Aduntera has been appointed as the referee for the encounter, with Ali Timuah Baah and Yahya Ashaikwei Mensah serving as assistant referees. Gideon Nii-Cofie will act as the fourth official, while Egbert Laryea has been named match commissioner.
The remaining eight fixtures are scheduled for Sunday, September 13, as clubs look to build momentum following the opening weekend of the new campaign.
Swedru All Blacks will host newly promoted Debibi United FC at the Swedru Sports Stadium, with Charles Bulu appointed to officiate the match. Emmanuel Dolagbanu and Joshua Agbo will serve as his assistants, while Sumalia Nazeef has been assigned as fourth referee. Adjiri Barnor will be the match commissioner.
At the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Asante Kotoko SC will face Hearts of Lions FC in one of the weekend’s notable fixtures. Reginald Collins Amoah will take charge of the game, assisted by Patricia Kyeraa and Isaac Asante. Courage Ampofo will be the fourth referee, with Dawson Amoah serving as match commissioner.
Berekum Chelsea will welcome Dreams FC to Golden City Park, where Theophilus Antwi Sakyi has been appointed referee. Abraham Partey and Edmund Ofoe Tetteh will assist him, while Nana Kofi Amoah will serve as fourth referee. Emmanuel Asante has been named match commissioner.
Karela Return Home After MAtchday 1 Disappointment
Karela United will host Bechem United FC at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium, with Maxwell Hason selected as the centre referee. Bless Awadzi and Ernest Awinbire Ayamga will be his assistants, while Rejoice Addokwei takes up the fourth referee role. Awudu D zang will serve as match commissioner.
At the Nana Agyemang Badu Park, Aduana FC will face FC Samartex 1996. Prince Okoto Ntiamaoh will officiate the contest, supported by Kofi Nyarko Bakae and Gabriel Boateng. Foster Bastiours has been appointed fourth referee, with Joseph Y. Acheampong serving as match commissioner.
GoldStars SC will welcome Hearts of Oak SC to Bibiani Dun’s Park in another blockbuster fixture of the weekend. Alex Amoabeng will referee the match, assisted by Haruna Yakubu and Joseph Teye Awasabi. Kingsford Oteng Yeboah will be the fourth official, while Frank Nimako has been appointed match commissioner.
GoldStars will be seeking their first win of the season while the Phobians will seek to maintain the momentum following their commanding 4-0 victory over Berekum Chelsea on the opening weekend.
In Wenchi, Young Apostles FC will take on Basake Holy Stars FC at the Wenchi Sports Stadium. William Agbovi has been appointed referee, with James Osafo and Bill Odartei Wellington as assistants. Ayaaba Ibrahim will serve as fourth referee and Mark Koduah as match commissioner.
The GFA has also confirmed that the match between Medeama SC and Port City FC has been postponed due to Medeama’s participation in the CAF Champions League.
Rustum Gameli Senorgbe, Seth Abletor, Marvelous Amediole and Selorm Yao Bless had been listed among the officials for the fixture, with Micheal Arthur Dadzie named as match commissioner.
The appointments form part of the GFA’s preparations for another competitive weekend of top-flight football, with clubs seeking valuable points as the 2026/27 campaign gathers pace.
