The National Security Coordinator for the President, Nana Akufo-Addo, Mr Joshua Kyeremeh has passed on.
Reports indicate that, the late security coordinator, passed on after a short illness in the early hours of Monday, January 18, 2020.
He was a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and was one of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s first appointees in 2017 during his first term.
President Akufo-Addo in 2017 appointed Mr Kyeremeh as the National Security Coordinator.
Mr Kyeremeh before his appointment in 2017 was the Director of the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI), now known as the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB).
He worked at the BNI for about 22 years, where he served at command levels in the Northern, Upper East, Ashanti and Greater Accra Regions.
He rose through the ranks to become the Deputy Director BNI and ultimately, the Director BNI from 2005 to 2009.
He was part of the recent transition team after the 7th December 2020 elections before his demise.
