The Cyber Security Authority (CSA) of Ghana has intensified its stakeholder engagements through separate strategic meetings with the ISACA Accra Chapter and the Genius IT Foundation, reinforcing its commitment to sector-wide collaboration, capacity building, and child online safety in Ghana’s digital space.

At the CSA headquarters in Accra, the Director-General of the Authority, Mr. Divine Selase Agbeti, received a delegation from the ISACA Accra Chapter led by its President, Mr. Solomon Ackom.

“The meeting marked a significant moment of mutual reaffirmation between the two bodies, as ISACA extended its congratulations to Mr. Agbeti on his recent appointment and restated its support for the Authority’s broader mission to safeguard Ghana’s cyberspace”

The ISACA delegation used the opportunity to express its readiness to support the operationalisation of the CSA’s Industry Forum, an initiative that is expected to become a national platform for structured engagement between cybersecurity professionals and institutional stakeholders.

According to the Cyber Security Authority, “The Industry Forum is a pivotal mechanism to align Ghana’s cybersecurity ecosystem with evolving international standards and stakeholder needs.”

Mr. Solomon Ackom reaffirmed ISACA’s position on the importance of bridging technical expertise with policy frameworks and reiterated the association’s availability to offer its global resources, thought leadership, and training to the Authority’s strategic efforts.

“We believe that sustained engagement between professionals, regulators, and the public is the way to build a resilient cyber environment,” Mr. Ackom stated.

In a separate engagement, representatives from the Genius IT Foundation met with the CSA to explore areas of expanded partnership, particularly in the realm of public education and digital safety in underserved regions.

The Foundation outlined the increasing risks faced by children in unregulated digital environments and stressed the urgency of collective responses at the community level.

Genius IT’s stated objective is to strengthen existing frameworks and local engagement efforts to ensure that every child and parent understands how to navigate the digital space safely.

The Cyber Security Authority welcomed these efforts and reiterated its focus on working with civil society organisations to implement citizen-centred campaigns that equip Ghanaians with practical knowledge on cyber threats, fraud prevention, and personal data protection.

According to the Authority, “The digital future of Ghana depends on how well we build cyber resilience from the ground up, especially among our youth.”

As Ghana advances its digital economy with a renewed commitment to technological development, cybersecurity has become a core pillar of national resilience and innovation.

The Cyber Security Authority continues to serve as the lead institution in coordinating national responses to cybercrime, protecting critical infrastructure, and fostering safe digital participation for all Ghanaians.

These meetings with stakeholders such as ISACA and Genius IT Foundation reflect a deliberate move by the Authority to create inclusive, cross-sector frameworks that blend policy, education, and operational capability.

In its statement following the engagements, the Cyber Security Authority emphasised the importance of such engagements.

“Effective cybersecurity requires collaboration, and we will continue to work with all stakeholders to build a digital environment that is safe, transparent, and empowering”
