Accra’s nightlife scene is buzzing with anticipation as South African Amapiano sensation Uncle Waffles touches down in the Ghanaian capital for a high-energy, sold-out performance at Enzo tonight, Friday, May 8, 2026.
The 26-year-old DJ, producer, and dancer born Lungelihle Zwane in Eswatini (formerly Swaziland) arrived to a warm reception, with videos circulating of fans and organizers greeting her enthusiastically at the airport.

This marks one of her biggest headline appearances in Ghana, building on previous visits including her 2022 Global Citizen Festival performance.
Organized by D Global Entertainment, the event promises to transform Enzo into the epicenter of Amapiano in West Africa for one unforgettable night.
Doors are expected around 9 PM, with the night centered on Uncle Waffles’ signature high-octane sets blending infectious log drum rhythms, soulful vocals, and her trademark energetic dancing.
Uncle Waffles burst onto the scene in 2021 after a viral video of her dancing during a set at Zone 6 nightclub in Soweto. Her breakout single “Tanzania” topped charts in South Africa, achieving multi-platinum status and catapulting her to international fame.
Billboard has crowned her the “Princess of Amapiano,” a title she has lived up to with performances at Coachella (as the first Amapiano artist on the main stage), major festivals across Europe and the US, and collaborations with global stars.
At just 26, she has released multiple EPs including Red Dragon, Asylum, and Solace, and continues to push the genre’s boundaries. Tonight’s show coincides with the release of her latest collaborative project, adding extra excitement to the proceedings.
The demand for tonight’s show has been overwhelming. Tickets, priced from around GH₵500–700 and upwards for tables, sold out weeks in advance with no gate sales available. Attendees can expect a full Amapiano experience, with special guest 031 Choppa the viral hitmaker behind the global smash “ZEP” joining for what organizers describe as a landmark celebration of the genre.

Enzo, a premier venue in Accra known for its vibrant atmosphere and top-tier sound system, is primed for the takeover. Promoters have teased an “experiential” night with impressive production, lighting, and non-stop grooves that will keep the dance floor moving until the early hours.
Cultural Bridge
The concert comes amid growing cultural exchange between South Africa and Ghana. Despite occasional online debates around regional tensions, the response on the ground has been overwhelmingly positive, with Ghanaians eager to experience Uncle Waffles’ live energy firsthand.
Social media has been flooded with anticipation posts, arrival clips, and throwbacks to her previous Ghana appearances.
For many, tonight represents more than just a party, it’s a chance to witness one of Africa’s brightest young stars in an intimate club setting.
Amapiano’s global rise has seen the genre move from township parties in South Africa to dancefloors worldwide, and events like this solidify its foothold in Ghana’s thriving nightlife scene.
As the sun sets over Accra, the city is ready to “Waffle” the night away. Uncle Waffles is about to deliver pure Amapiano magic.
