Ghanaian rapper and songwriter, Eno Barony has disclosed how she almost gave up on music exactly six years ago.

Eno Barony, Ghanaian rapper and entertainer.

Ghanaian award-winning rapper, Eno Barony, has advised her fellow rappers to be cautious when engaging in a lyrical ‘beef’, so that it does not end up being personal.

Speaking in an interview, Eno Barony stated that rappers must know when to throw in the towel during a lyrical argument in order to avoid matters escalating to other horrific levels.

According to the ‘God is a Woman’ rapper, there have been instances where rappers turn lyrical ‘beefs’ personal and end up sullying their reputation or in a worst-case scenario, losing their precious lives.

“Lyrical beefs shouldn’t go beyond the limit. It is not something artists should take personally and make it seem like the next world war,” Eno Barony said.

Eno Barony, who herself has engaged in several lyrical arguments, shared her thoughts about the speculated lyrical war going on between Amerado and Lyrical Joe.

Reacting to the issue, the talented rapper stated that there shouldn’t be any bad blood between the two rappers because no one is supposed to take things personal in the music industry, especially rappers. According to Eno Barony, such lyrical ‘beefs’ are not to bring about enmity between rap artists, but it is to show their adroitness in the rap game.

Eno Barony also denied claims of having issues with Lyrical Joe after she collaborated with Amerado on her latest song, ‘The Finish Line’.

Per some reports, Amerado and Lyrical Joe are currently at loggerheads. According to these reports, it all started when Amerado won the Best Rapper at the 3Music Awards, which Lyrical Joe coveted so much.

Then, during the just ended VGMAs, luck came to the side of Lyrical Joe and he emerged as the Best rap Performer of the year. This was said to have made matters worse between the two rappers as they threw ‘shades’ at each other and claimed that the other did not deserve the award they received.

Eno Barony Laments Struggles of Female Rappers

In the same vein, Eno Barony poured out her frustration about the struggles of female rappers in Ghana.

The one-time Best rapper of the Year at the VGMAs stated that it has not been easy for female rap artists to make it to the top in Ghana.

She registered her frustration about the issue of female entertainers not getting investors to invest in them because it is always presumed that they cannot be able to sail through successfully like their male counterparts.

Eno Barony, further speaking, stated that the whole issue about female rappers not making it to the top, starts from the root. According to her, most parents would restrict their daughters from pursuing a career in the hip-hop community because of some wrong perception about the nature of the job.

The rapper averred that now, with the help of a few female rappers like herself and some of her colleagues, she has been able to disprove those assertions and carved the path for other women who wish to venture into rap.
