Former Shatta Movement Militant, Jafaro Mohammed, known widely as Addi Self, has issued a heartfelt public apology to Shatta Wale, seeking reconciliation years after their fallout.
In a heartfelt Facebook post today, Friday, June 13, 2025, the artist urged his former mentor to move past their differences and “unblock” him, writing, “I got you a Rolex watch, I’m ready to deliver it with #Shaxi.”
The rift stemmed from a misunderstanding involving rapper Kweku Smoke and a song theft accusation, where Shatta Wale felt let down by Addi Self and other Militants for not defending him.
Addi Self clarified that his silence was due to confusion, not disloyalty, as he didn’t know Kweku Smoke personally.
Now, with a tone of maturity and humility, Addi Self expresses his desire to rejoin the movement he once championed.
“Me and Captan are good, so why not me and my mentor? It hurts!” he wrote, calling himself the prodigal son and urging the Shatta Movement to help reunite him with “#1Don.”
Addi Self’s post garnered comments from netizens.
“Me too, Shatta Wale block me oo, way back in 2014 or 2015, I guess. He made a post and I left a comment, he replied to me and next minute I chop block
Akaput Haha. Abeg unblock me too wai
