BREAKING: Shatta Wale and Medikal granted GHC100k bail

Shatta Wale and Medikal granted 100k bail

Ghanaian artists, Shatta Wale and Medikal have been granted bail by an Accra Circuit Court today, October 26, 2021 following their arrests. They were granted a 100,000 Ghana cedis bail each by the court.

Dancehall musician, Shatta Wale is facing a charge of publishing false news after he allegedly fabricated a story about a gun attack against him. Medikal, on the other hand, is in court for brandishing a pistol on social media.

Medikal pleaded not guilty to the charge of unlawfully displaying of arms and ammunition.

Shatta Wale also pleaded not guilty to the charge of publishing false news and causing fear and panic.

That notwithstanding, the three other accomplices in Shatta Wale’s case; Deportee, Gangee, and Nana Dope have also been granted bail.

Both cases have been adjourned to Thursday, November 9, 2021.
