At around 6 pm yesterday, Comedian Waris took to his Twitter timeline and posted a picture of himself in the hospital, which put several social media users in a state of worry considering the time of pandemic we are in.

In the picture that he shared, Waris was in a hospital bed looking quite unwell. He had some drip sticking to his hand as he lay on the hospital bed bare-chested and looking weak as well.
He posted the picture with the caption that read: “Wear a nose mask and stay safe from this wicked virus, don’t forget to pray too #comedianwaris”.

Since he is known for his hilarious lifestyle, several of his fans thought of it as a joke or one of his skits he was planning. Meanwhile others to thought he was infected by COVID-19 because of his caption.

He later cleared the air when he explained what actually transpired. According to the comedian, they were on set filming a project at ‘Mayera’, when he suddenly felt weak and also felt the need for medical attention.
Some people who were on the set with him then rushed him to the ‘Faase Community Hospital’, where he was given medical attention.

In another post on Twitter, Waris posted a picture of himself on the hospital bed, still with a drip on him and cautioned that he was not going to accept any injection and also refused to sleep in the hospital.

“I won’t sleep here oo ‘hw3’ this Doctor paaaa, no injection too I beg”.
