An American actor, Conor Angus Cloud Hickey, who was best known for his portrayal of Fezco in the HBO television series Euphoria has died at age 25 at his family’s home in Oakland, California.
Cloud’s family says he struggled with his mental health after burying his father in Ireland last week.
He is survived by his mother, Lisa Cloud Hickey, and his two sisters, Molly Hickey and Fiona Hickey, however, he happened to be the eldest of his siblings.
He had small roles in the independent films ‘North Hollywood’ (2021) and ‘The Line’ (2023), and is set to posthumously star in the film ‘Freaky Tales’. Cloud also appeared in music videos by Noah Cyrus, Juice WRLD, Becky G, and Karol G.
While working at Woodlands restaurant close to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, he was scouted by Euphoria casting director Jennifer Venditti, who he initially thought was trying to scam him. Prior to his role on ‘Euphoria’, Cloud had never acted, only serving in his high school’s theater department building sets and working on lighting and sound.
A family statement said:
“It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today. As an artist, a friend, a brother, and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways.
“Last week he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss. The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend”.
Family statement
The statement added:
“Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence.
“We hope the world remembers him for his humor, laughter, and love for everyone. We ask for privacy at this time as we are still processing this devastating loss”.
Family statement
It was reported that Cloud’s mother had called 911 on Monday about a “possible overdose”. Later the emergency services told that the patient was determined dead before their arrival.
They said the cause of death was currently unknown.

In a statement, HBO wrote:
“We are incredibly saddened to learn of the passing of Angus Cloud. He was immensely talented and a beloved part of the HBO and Euphoria family.

In a statement, Euphoria creator Sam Levinson said:
“There was no one quite like Angus. He was too special, too talented, and way too young to leave us so soon. He also struggled, like many of us, with addiction and depression.
“I hope he knew how many hearts he touched. I loved him. I always will. Rest in peace and God Bless his family”.

Euphoria has been a huge hit, with HBO saying it’s the channel’s second-most-watched show since 2004 behind ‘Game Of Thrones’.
In 2022, Twitter also said it was the most tweeted-about show of the decade in the US and that Cloud’s character had the most posts.
