Ghanaian gospel singer, Joyce Blessing has eulogized King Paluta for the impact of his hit single, Aseda.

Joyce Blessing weighed in on a recent secular and gospel music debate after a Catholic priest apologized for singing King Paluta’s ‘Aseda’ song with his members during a church service.

The gospel singer stated that she had no issue with people listening to or singing ‘Aseda’ as it is an actual gospel song.

The ‘Victory’ hitmaker explained that it was hypocritical for some people to have an issue with the song being sung in a church and dismiss its message because King Paluta is a secular artist and does not belong to the gospel music fraternity.

“King Paluta’s Aseda is a gospel song. Everyone has their own mindset. Sometimes, there is too much hypocrisy. Every good gift comes from God. You cannot sit somewhere and say King Paluta belongs to the devil because he does not perform gospel songs. What kind of songs do you think he is performing?”

Joyce Blessing

Joyce Blessing shared that she was an ardent listener of King Paluta and found his songs motivational.

“I really listen to his songs. If you listen to the story behind the songs, you will see that he has gone through a lot in life and God has finally elevated his status. We all have to support him.”

Joyce Blessing

Joyce Blessing added that there is no difference between gospel and secular artists as everyone is involved in creating music for their fans.

King Paluta’s versatile talent is evident in his ability to seamlessly switch between rap and singing.

His hit songs include “Yahitte”, “Aseda”, and “Sika Aba Fie,” and his collaborations on tracks like Okyeame Kwame’s “Insha Allah”, Strongman’s “Chilling”, and Rap Fada’s “Odo Bi Ye Bad.”

His music often reflects his personal experiences and the socio-economic realities of Ghana.

Andrew Kofi Cudjoe, popularly known as Keche Andrew, a member of the music group Keche expressed his disappointment over what he claims to be disrespect from rising music star, King Paluta.

Andrew revealed that King Paluta did not fulfill his promotional obligations for their joint song, “My Father”.

Despite actively promoting his collaborations with other artists, including Wendy Shay, on his social media platforms, King Paluta allegedly failed to do the same for “My Father”.

“We begged him to shoot just one video for us, but he claimed of being sick and it’s disheartening that he would prioritize promoting songs with other artists while neglecting our collaboration,” he revealed.

He also noted that King Paluta’s behavior was disrespectful and unprofessional.

“We were hurt because we thought we had a good collaboration, but he didn’t reciprocate. He didn’t treat us with the respect and professionalism we deserved.”

Keche Andrew

Keche Andrew’s partner, Keche Joshua had called King Paluta out, criticizing the ‘Makoma’ hitmaker for snubbing efforts to rope him in on the promotional activities for their song.

Keche Joshua bashed King Paluta, calling him disrespectful and a one-or-two-hit wonder, generating an uproar on social media.

Fans reacted to Keche Andrew’s narration of their misunderstanding with King Paluta.

“Was an agreement made? did you pay him? If not then oga leave him alone.”

“It’s because the other Keche guy rudely disrespected him.”

“Tables turn hmmm how can Keche beg Paluta to promote the song they did with him?”

Sabato

“King Paluta this is not the time for settling old scores. His sudden fame will not be forever. He must watch how he manages it this is Ghana, nothing lasts forever.”

“But this guy is more reasonable than the other guy, at least you know how to talk.”
