Popular Nigerian Gospel singer, songwriter, Frank Edwards has backlashed Nigerians tweeting and making the divorce of Billionaire Bill Gates and his wife Melinda their main topic for discussion as he asked them to focus on matters concerning Nigeria.
According to him, there are pressing issues such as kidnappings and killings going on in the country therefore Nigerians should rather channel their attention to such issues and stop speaking on issues that aren’t their business.
He tweeted: “Kidnappings are going on in Nigeria! People are being killed. And Nigerians are busy talking about bill gates divorce?!!! What is my business? Was I even born when they started the marriage?!! Pls, let’s focus inward!”.

Bill and Melinda getting a divorce, Ghanaians are protesting
For some hours now, Bill Gates and his wife Melinda have been one of the top trending names on Twitter. This comes after Bill Gates announced that he and his;wife are getting divorced and this has caught the attention of many social media users. It appears many are still shocked over the news of their separation;and have made it a topic for discussion on their pages.
Bill Gate took to his page in the late hours of Monday and tweeted: “After a great deal of thought and a lot of work on our relationship, we have made the decision to end our marriage. Over the last 27 years, we have raised three incredible children and built a foundation that works all over the world to enable all people to lead healthy, productive lives.
“We continue to share a belief in that mission and will continue to work together at the foundation, but we no longer believe we can grow together as a couple in this next phase of our lives. We ask for space and privacy for our family as we begin to navigate this new life.”
Ghanaians on a normal day would have jumped on this trend for some serious debates and discussions on social media. However, the #Fixthecountrynow campaign seems to be of more importance to the people of Ghana as they are still protesting for change in the country. This hashtag is still trending at number one on Ghana twitter trends alongside #Fixthecountrynow and #Fixyourself as well as #GhanaIsBeingFixed.
