Media personality, MzGee has replied to dancehall musician Shatta Wale, rapper Medikal, and critics with video evidence and a heartfelt message.

This comes after critics, Shatta Wale, and Medikal lashed out at her for not focusing the interview on Medikal’s recently sold-out concert at Indigo O2 but instead on Medikal’s relationship issues with Fella Makafui.

MzGee shared a video from the interview that was not shared as a promotional video on the social media platforms of UTV Ghana.

The video, which is about seven minutes long, highlighted questions MzGee asked Medikal about his recently sold-out concert at the Indigo O2.

In MzGee’s reply to Shatta Wale and Medikal, she reiterated that in the media business, the evidence is the tapes, and in such confusing times, it is prudent that she dropped them.

“Dancing in the mud isn’t my style. Done this for years. My entire career was simply built on ASKING QUESTIONS and my follow-ups are always apt! (Only a few are that attentive).”

The host of UTV’s United Showbiz further stated that the highlight of the comments on social media about her interview with Medikal showed that many people did not watch the full interview.

“So I thought to give you the pleasure. I’m sure there are still some discerning folks here! There’s more,” she said.

Ghanaians reacted to MzGee’s controversial interview with Medikal and her reply to the outbursts of Shatta Wale and Medikal.

Medikal Gives Reasons He ‘Flared Up’ During Interview

Ghanaian rapper, Medikal has given reasons for his recent outburst which saw him lambasting the host and pundits.

Opening up about the incident, Medikal stated that his response to MzGee was a result of frustration with the media choosing to focus on the negatives instead of the success of his show.

“What we just did was a beautiful thing; we achieved a great thing, and people are back home using their platform to rather say things to tarnish what we did and sway attention from the main conversation of us having a successful event. That was what got me pissed. I don’t think it was a calculated attempt; they were just being stupid.”

He explained that it would be disrespectful to his fans if he chose to end the interview abruptly.

Medikal also pointed out the positive attention Ghana received from international media like BBC and criticized local platforms for not doing the same.

“Not everyone is a problem, but as the BBC did their article, it generated a buzz about Ghana and brought attention to the country. So it hurts me when big platforms like UTV do things like that because they should have used the opportunity to sell the country. I remember even before I came to the UK, I had granted over eight interviews.
“But it got to a point where I told my dad that I didn’t want to grant any more interviews because I kept getting certain questions. And I’m a sincere person; I say it as it is, so my answers kept giving people perception that I was saying things just to get attention for the show, and I didn’t like that. So I cancelled the rest of the interviews.”

Medikal, however, stated that he would still engage with the media and would embark on a media tour when he arrived in Ghana.

He noted that he would be more selective with the questions when asked.
