Dr. Zilla Limann, the wife of veteran Ghanaian musician, Reggie Rockstone, has responded to singer Shatta Wale’s negative comment about their Waakye business that tended to undermine their status in society.
According to her, she was livid when her husband, Reggie Rockstone told her about Shatta Wale’s negative comment about their Waakye business and expressed her displeasure but did not make it public.
She also mentioned that Shatta Wale takes delight in talking about people’s issues in public to make himself relevant in the public eye but his comment did not sit well with her.
Dr. Zilla Limann, who is the daughter of the late president, Dr. Hilla Limann fumed at Shatta Wale for criticizing their business.
Responding to when Shatta Wale stated ‘this is a big man who lives in his father’s house and is selling Waakye’, “So if anybody who knows me knows that I’m not really big on social media. So when Reggie told me the first time I’m like it is crap, so what is it to you? How does that enrich you or help you? Why do people take delight in talking about people, then slandering people then what will happen? Did you not grow up in your father’s house?” she said.
“And if you didn’t his stuff is not for you. If I’m selling waakye and so? Am I not representing Ghana? Am I not representing something in general? Something that we own and is putting us on the map? What are you doing? What right do you have to come and stand and talk about what I am doing when I’m working hard? We eat Waakye every day. Waakye is Ghana. Reggie Rockstone’s Waakye to the whole world,” she stated.
Reggie Rockstone’s Waakye business is one of the popular food joints in the country having established branches in some parts of the country including Accra and Cape Coast.
Disclosing How The Relationship With Reggie Rockstone Began
Dr. Zilla Limann disclosed how her relationship with the musician began when her father who is the late President, Dr. Hilla Limann was alive.
According to her, Reggie Rockstone was intimidated by the fact that she was the former president’s daughter so the approach was not easy, however, he did not allow that to discourage him from chasing her.
She indicated that Reggie Rockstone is the perfect partner for her even though they have their differences, their marriage has not been marred with controversies which is a good sign for them.
“I can assure you that was quite intimidating because it is not every day that you meet a former president’s daughter and you are just going to court and marrying her. That was very intimidating and he would tell you that a trip to Gonu in the Upper West close to the border was no joke at all because you would have to make it if you wanted to marry the president’s daughter,” she noted.
The wife of the pioneer of Hip-life revealed that there is no one better than her husband and she does not think she will find any match better than him.
“I don’t think I’ll find any better match than Reggie Rockstone not to say that we don’t have our differences but we settle it when it matters. There is no better partner than him. And most people don’t know we went to the same primary school, the same Senior High School as well and we were in the same house,” she said.
Reggie Rockstone and Dr. Zilla Limann have been married for over twenty-one years.
