Henry Nana Boakye, National Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has confidently declared that, following his visit to the Pusiga constituency, Alhaji Hanan Abdul-Wahab, the NPP’s parliamentary candidate, is on track to secure a decisive victory in the Pusiga seat, bolstering the party’s prospects in the region.

He attributed his confidence to the impressive development projects and initiatives spearheaded by Alhaji Hanan Abdul-Wahab, which have resonated with the people of Pusiga, bolstering his candidacy and solidifying his position as a formidable contender to represent the constituency under the NPP banner.

“Among these initiatives are the construction of over 100 mechanized boreholes across communities in the constituency, educational infrastructure enhancements, and support for various artisanal trades such as hairdressing, tailoring, weaving, fashion designing, leatherworks, makeup artistry, plumbing, tiling, and welding”.

Furthermore, Nana Boakye indicated that these initiatives have demonstrated Abdul-Wahab’s commitment to the welfare of the constituents, showcasing his potential to effectively serve the people of Pusiga.

Nana Boakye noted that the positive impact of these endeavors makes Abdul-Wahab a strong contender for the parliamentary seat.

As such, he noted that Abdul-Wahab’s achievements are a testament to the transformative power of dedicated leadership and community-focused development.

Nana Boakye also highlighted the commissioning of a state-of-the-art AstroTurf facility, a flagship project spearheaded by Alhaji Hanan Abdul-Wahab, as a major highlight of his visit.

This notable achievement, he indicated, demonstrates Abdul-Wahab’s commitment to investing in the community’s infrastructure and development, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of the people of Pusiga.

According to Nana Boakye, the commissioning of the AstroTurf facility was made possible through the joint efforts of Hon. Mustapha Ussif, Minister of Sports, and Hon. Hassan Tampuli, Deputy Minister of Transport, demonstrating the government’s commitment to supporting developmental projects in the region.

He pointed out that Alhaji Hanan’s dedication to development and empowerment in Pusiga has won him the hearts and minds of the people, cementing his reputation as a leader who cares about the welfare of the constituents.”

Echoing Nana Boakye’s sentiments, Richard Ahiagbah, National Communications Director of the NPP, asserted that the NDC’s campaign strategy is to deliberately distort the economic accomplishments of the current government, seeking to overshadow its numerous successes by exclusively highlighting the present economic difficulties.

“However, Ghanaians recognize that it was the disruptions caused by COVID-19 and the Russia-Ukraine War that impacted the unprecedented 7% average GDP growth in our first term”.

“The economy is on a steady rebound. The first quarter of 2024 saw an impressive 4.7% GDP growth, outpacing the 4.2% growth in 2023. Ghana, like all nations, is striving to enhance conditions for its citizens”.

Richard Ahiagbah

Ahiagbah pointed out that Ghana is now regaining its economic momentum and has the potential to exceed the impressive 7% average growth rate achieved in 2017, 2018, and 2019, indicating a promising future for the country’s economic development.

He encouraged the public to adopt the hopeful and solution-focused outlook of Dr. Bawumia, rather than the unfounded negativity peddled by others, particularly the NDC, and to embrace a more constructive and forward-thinking approach.

He expressed confidence that the NPP government will replicate its development achievements in Pusiga across the entire country, ensuring widespread growth and progress for all Ghanaians, regardless of location or region.

He commended Finance Minister, Dr. Amin Adam, for his instrumental role in revitalizing the economy, successfully steering it toward recovery and growth.
