LPG founder casts aspersions on re-election of Mahama as President
Meanwhile, founder and leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG) Percival Kofi Akpaloo has insisted former president John Dramani Mahama has no chance to be re-elected as President of Ghana. He described the former president as a non-starter who has no capacity to lead the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to win the 2024 polls.
Mr Akpaloo accordingly implored the NDC delegates to reject him in the party’s upcoming presidential primaries. He iterated that the former president has no chance to come back to power to rule Ghana.
“I don’t think John Mahama can win the 2024 elections. I’m even not sure his name could appear on the ballot paper. Those who are chanting Mahama’s comeback are all NDC members who believe that they can get the opportunity to milk Ghana again, they are not well-meaning Ghanaians who want development.”
Kofi Akpaloo
Mr Akpaloo opined that the Liberal Party of Ghana is winning the 2024 general elections to form the next government to transform Ghana. He thus entreated the voting populace to massively vote for him as the next President since the two major political parties have failed Ghanaians.
Prior to this, the General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Justin Kodua Frimpong, requested former President John Dramani Mahama to desist from acting in ways as though he is desperate for political power. He indicated the 2024 general elections will be on the “record” of the governing NPP.
Speaking to executives of the party in the Ayawaso North Constituency in Accra, he emphasized that the 2024 elections is going to be on records and that is why it is charging the party’s supporters to make sure that wherever they go they should inform the good people of Ghana about the NPP’s records.
