Sammi Awuku, the National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has disclosed that the party will by every means remain hawk-eyed during the December elections to ensure a credible elections.

According to him, the vigilance of the party will equally trickle down to maintaining a level of alertness over the ballot boxes to ensure a free and fair election.

“The NPP don’t want to be favored in this polls, but the NPP will remain vigilant and ensure every ballot will be counted properly.”

Addressing teachers at the Volta NPP Network conference in Ho, the national Youth organizer additionally noted that the incumbent party will as a matter of fact not succumb to any form of intimidation or restriction in campaigning in any part of the country.

“No region will be declared a no-go area in this united Ghana. Wherever we need to campaign I can assure you as a party member, we will campaign. Each and every voter will hear our message of hope against the hopelessness of Mahama”.

He also appealed to the teachers, who he indicated would be recruited as polling agents by the Electoral Commission to be vigilant in the discharge of their duties.

Commenting on some hotspot areas of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Awuku revealed that the opposition party has long-lost its grip on its stronghold, the Volta Region.

In light of this, he intimated that the incumbent government will wade in and consequently capture more seats from the NDC in the December 7 polls.

He further noted that the governing NPP government has delivered policies and programs which have improved the livelihoods of indigenes in the region.

Commending the teachers on a remarkable job done, he opined that the Akufo-Addo administration has prioritised the true needs of not just the people but the country at large.

“Because of the hard work of teachers today, they are teaching people, educating people, to come out of school, get sustainable jobs, and choose a good job over okada riding. I want to vote for a President who will tell me after providing me with free SHS that I want you to get a job with 1D1F, under our flagship programs, under our planting for food and jobs, and not for you to become a candidate for a mortuary that someone wants to build for you and me.”

“Again, the second reason is that, I have been to this auditorium more than twice; it’s one of the biggest gatherings that I have seen in the Volta Region. The NDC is still living under a very dangerous illusion”.

Further inciting teachers to vote for the party, he reminded them of the exemplified qualities that the president has displayed during his tenure and judging from the crowd he believes the NPP has won the Volta Region over with its good works.
