The President and Chief Executive Officer of Lush Group, Mr. Moses B. Arthur, has challenged businesses to be open minded in identifying business opportunities and strategically implementing them in the next normal of their operations.

Speaking to The Vaultz News, Mr. Arthur intimated that, how well businesses are able to leverage on the internet and capitalize on their organic website will define their next step of growth in business.

“Strategy is spiritual [and] business is war”, with this axiom, he challenged business to be open-minded in identifying “business opportunities and future opportunities”.

According to him, “every business should be digital”, in order to remain the most sought after businesses “should have a digital voice and make sure you are loud digitally; it is important, you never know. A lot of businesses were discovered in this era [and] a lot of businesses started. So, moving forward, every business should make sure they are out there”.

He further cautioned businesses to be future conscious in their service deliveries and products due to the fast paced nature of businesses globally.

“Don’t joke with your Instagram, don’t joke with your LinkedIn, don’t joke with your Facebook, and don’t joke with your website; be visible. Have a certain level of visibility and make sure in every single product, in every single service and in every single structure you have to come up with, you have a certain slot in there for the future in terms of digital, because the world is moving at a very fast rate and you need to really catch up with a lot of trends.

“If you are not consistently abreast with these trends, you wake up and it’s like the world has moved ten years ahead of you and you are still there, and so as a business you need to make sure that as you plan for the future, there’s digital in there. Make sure you have digital presence and understand what will work for your company and be adaptable to change, because I know businesses that caved in and they actually crashed because they didn’t see the opportunity to change”.

Moses B. Arthur further asserted that, for any business to be aptly adaptable and stay relevant in the business space, it calls for discernment in being able to determine and jump on opportunities which may not immediately bear any semblance of success.

Regardless of the slow acclimatization process of most business owners in giving new opportunities a shot, the Lush Group CEO was confident of their ability to gradually grow into acceptance of the changing scenes of business.

“We will get there, especially in Ghana, in African businesses we will get there, but it will take a lot of patience, it will take a lot of hard work, a lot of discipline, consistency and the hand and grace of God to keep us going”.

As a serial entrepreneur, he reckons that, “vision is a distinguishing platform between men and a distinguishing platform between nations”.

Lush Group LLC, being a diversified and a fully integrated conglomerate, he believes that for any leader, a team’s commitment to their tasked duties in a business setting is dependent on the leader.

“I didn’t get committed people. You don’t get committed people, we groom committed people and it starts from you. If you work on yourself as a leader and you would become one who is extremely selfless, your people will come after you. If you put your people first in whatever thing you’re doing as a leader, they will also put you first. It’s a simple principle”.
