Former member of Criss Wadle’s AMG Business label, Showboy Legally known as Sam Safo, has revealed that he will be coming out from prison in style when he is released.
Showboy made this assertion during an interview session with Zylofon Fm whiles in the prison.
He posited that since he has a boisterous character, he will come out of prison and blow up once more.
““I’ll be coming from prison in style. I’m the real ‘Akata gang’”.
Touching on the issue of support from other artist, Showboy revealed that there is lack of support from the industry players, but most importantly, he is aggrieved at the lack of support from his former label colleagues, Criss Waddle and Medikal, when he needed them most.
When asked about making moves for support instead of waiting for others to approach him, he answered by saying: “When we started supporting them [Criss Wadle and Medikal], did any of them approach us [Showboy]?”
Recounting on some artist he has wholeheartedly supported, like R2Bees, Sarkodie, and Shatta Wale, he blurted that if he had to first approach them seeking for support, then he doesn’t reckon that they are loyal people to him as he was with them.
“I served from R2Bees’s camp. I’ve served for years under them. I’ve fought unnecessary fights in the past. So, if you say I should approach people for help, then Ghanaians are not real n*ggas.”
He lamented that Ghanaians don’t like supporting each other and that sort of attitude isn’t helping.
“Where I come from, when someone is chatting a good path, we push them. That’s one attitude which isn’t helping Ghanaians.”
Showboy reiterated that he is disappointed in Criss Waddle and Medikal because he is part of the AMG Business label but wouldn’t complain much and expressed that he has been jabbing them just to release stress.
“My own people (AMG Business) don’t support me. I’m disappointed in them but I insult them always so, it’s a ‘give and take’ affair. I can insult Medikal or Criss Waddle any day to release my stress.”
He also revealed that the lack of support from his colleagues don’t get to him because his brain has been programmed to deflect trivial issues.
“The brain God gave me is customized so I don’t get worried over petty issues.”
It can be recalled that, Showboy was handed a 15-year sentence with six years to serve in custody in 2019, for biting, and stabbing a man in the US who is known as ‘Junior’.
Showboy was convicted by a US court, for stabbing Junior in the stomach during a fight.
He opened up about how he ended up in prison in a tweet, stating that it was violence that got him behind bars.
Showboy took advantage of his current situation in jail, to caution people who are quick-tempered to think twice before acting. He also urged the youth to flee from violence as it could end up making them convicts when the hands of the law grabs them.
