He reportedly died on Wednesday, July 13, 2022. At the time of this report, details of his death were not available. However the Vaultz media will bring update on this news as it unveils.

AB Crentsil was born in the year 1943 and he’s considered one of the ‘big three’ contemporary Ghanaian vocalists.

Some of his songs includes ‘I Go Pay You Tomorrow’, ‘Papa Samo, Moses’, ‘Juliana’, ‘Angelina’, and many others.

Months before he passed, the singer-songwriter had charred a few nuggets of wisdom with the youth who want to venture into music and the young ones who were already plying the trade.

Speaking in an interview, A.B. Crentsil in December 2021 advised young musicians to plan well when making a move in the industry. He said that artistes should have a carefully laid out plan to aid them in the execution of their goals.

AB Crentsil added that budding musicians need to have enjoyable songs and also perform well for people to like their craft. He explained that these were what kept him going in the music industry for decades.

The musician who has been entertaining Ghanaians since the 1970s played with the El Dorados and the Sweet Talks bands. Sweet Talks later under the joint leadership of Crentsil and Smart Nkansah, became the resident band at The ‘Talk Of The Town’ Hotel in Tema, with Crentsil as lead singer. He later formed his own band Ahenfo Band.
