The National Democratic Congress flagbearer for the 2024 general election, Former President John Dramani Mahama has ended his visit to the Ahafo, Bono and Bono East Region as part of his BuildingGhana Tour.

In a Facebook post on Thursday, November 23 2023, the Former President expressed his deepest appreciation to the traditional leaders, groups and residents of the three regions for their unwavering support and the ‘valuable ideas’ they shared with him during his community engagement and town hall meetings with them.

According to Mr Mahama, the welcoming support and the ‘valuable ideas’ he received from the three regions during his community engagement and town hall meeting with the various groups and residents have renewed his commitment to work towards the building and development of the country.

“It has been a remarkable display of unity and passion for Ghana’s development. The enthusiasm, energy, and constructive feedback have reinvigorated my commitment to implement transformative policies to achieve sustainable change in our country. The wealth of knowledge and expectations shared has deepened our understanding of the challenges faced by various communities”.

Mahama Expresses Hope In His 24-Hour Economy Policy Proposal

Furthermore, Former President John Dramani Mahama assured Ghanaians that his 24-hour economy policy proposal which has generated much attention since its announcement is an attainable goal for the country.

According to Mr Mahama under the next National Democratic Congress administration’s 24-hour economy, the government would extend the operational hours of several businesses and essential services in the country, invest in technology, provide robust infrastructural development and strengthen the country’s security.

He noted that through the provision of such measures and strategies, the government would create several job opportunities and revitalize the country’s economy which will benefit all Ghanaian citizens.

Again, the National Democratic Congress flagbearer for the 2024 general elections expresses his commitment to collaborate with all stakeholders in the country to address the various challenges facing the country.

He thus urged all Ghanaians to offer their support and the necessary criticisms toward his restoration and transformation agenda to develop Ghana.

Meanwhile, a group identified as the Okada Riders Association of Ghana (ORAG) has endorsed the National Democratic Congress flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama’s 24-hour economy policy proposal and referred to it as a ‘game changer’.

According to the group, the 24-hour economy policy proposal by Mr Mahama if fully implemented would address the country’s rising unemployment situation by creating several job avenues for Ghanaians.

“We have noticed that the 24-hour economy will be a solution by itself to all the challenges of our entire membership and their family, as well as our customers and dealers of motor vehicles and spare parts dealers. The Association disclosed that the mechanics and vulcanizers have also shown interest in the policy”.

The Okada Riders Association of Ghana further indicated that Mr Mahama’s 24-hour economy policy would assist them in increasing their earnings as it will create an enabling environment for them to do business at all times conveniently without fear of security threats as is the case now.
