The Mahama 2024 Campaign Team has denied publication suggesting that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, former President John Dramani Mahama had promised to stabilise the Ghana Cedi within 100 days in office if elected as President.

The Mahama 2024 Campaign, in a statement issued, by the Special Aide and Spokesperson to former President John Dramani Mahama, Joyce Bawah Mogtari Esq clarified that the assertions attributed to the National Democratic Congress flagbearer, Mr Mahama lack true representation of his remarks.

Madam Joyce Bawah Mogtari further emphasized that former President John Dramani Mahama did not make such a promise but instead outlined a broader economic recovery strategy for the country when elected as President in the December 7 polls.

“Mr Mahama, with a deep understanding of the economic challenges confronting the country today, did not promise to stabilise the Ghana Cedi within 100 days. Instead, he laid out a comprehensive plan in his remarks at the Ghana CEO Summit to address the challenges, demonstrating his grasp of the situation”.
