Enterprise Life Assurance Limited has partnered with Figtech Limited to expand access to life insurance products through technology.
The collaboration will be executed via Figtech’s MyFigTech platform, a digital insurance marketplace designed to simplify how Ghanaians compare, purchase and manage life insurance policies. The move signals a renewed push by Enterprise Life to make insurance more accessible, affordable and convenient, particularly for underserved communities.
For many Ghanaians, life insurance still feels distant and complicated. Lengthy paperwork, physical visits to branch offices and limited understanding of policy terms have historically discouraged people from signing up. This partnership seeks to change that narrative.
Speaking at the launch in Accra, Senior Manager for Business Development at Enterprise Life, Jerry Kwame Hodasi, described the initiative as a reflection of the company’s commitment to innovation and customer focused solutions.
He explained that leveraging digital technology will significantly reduce cost barriers and streamline processes that often frustrate customers. By integrating Enterprise Life’s products onto the MyFigTech platform, customers can now complete onboarding with minimal documentation, make flexible digital payments and submit claims more efficiently.
The ultimate goal, according to him, is simple. Make protection easier to access and easier to understand.
How MyFigTech Works
At the heart of the partnership is MyFigTech, a mobile application developed by Figtech Limited. The platform allows users to compare insurance policies from multiple providers in one place. Customers can review premiums, examine coverage options and receive personalised recommendations powered by artificial intelligence.
Instead of walking from one insurance office to another, users can now aggregate products side by side on their smartphones. Within minutes, they can select a suitable plan and obtain coverage digitally.
Chief Executive Officer and Co Founder of Figtech Limited, Fetus William Amoyaw, emphasised that the company’s mission is to help individuals plan better for their future. He noted that the long term vision is to bring more life insurance companies onto a single digital platform, making it a one stop hub for insurance comparison and management.
The platform’s inclusion in the Sandbox Programme of the National Insurance Commission further reinforces its credibility. The Sandbox Programme allows innovative financial products to be tested in a controlled environment under regulatory supervision, ensuring consumer protection while encouraging innovation.

Strengthening Digital Transformation
For Enterprise Life, the partnership is also a major milestone in its digital transformation journey. The insurance industry globally is undergoing rapid technological change, and Ghana is no exception.
By embedding its products into a digital marketplace, Enterprise Life is positioning itself to meet evolving customer expectations. Today’s consumers demand speed, transparency and convenience. They want to transact anytime and anywhere without unnecessary bureaucracy.
The MyFigTech platform enables policy purchases online, flexible payment options and smoother claims processing. These improvements are expected to enhance customer experience and build stronger trust between insurers and policyholders.
More importantly, the digital model reduces operational inefficiencies. Automation of certain processes lowers administrative costs, which can ultimately translate into more affordable products for customers.
Advancing Financial Inclusion
Beyond convenience, the partnership carries broader economic implications. Ghana continues to pursue financial inclusion as a national priority. While mobile money and digital banking have seen significant growth, insurance penetration remains relatively low.
By targeting underserved communities and leveraging mobile technology, Enterprise Life and Figtech are helping bridge this gap. Many individuals who may never have considered life insurance can now explore options from the comfort of their homes.
The initiative also supports long term financial planning. Life insurance is not only about protection against unforeseen events. It can serve as a tool for savings, investment and legacy planning. Encouraging more Ghanaians to adopt life insurance contributes to household financial stability and resilience.
Jerry Kwame Hodasi urged Ghanaians to embrace digital platforms as a means of securing their future and protecting their families. His message was clear. Technology should not be feared but embraced as a pathway to greater financial security.
A New Chapter for Ghana’s Insurance Industry
The partnership between Enterprise Life and Figtech reflects a broader shift within Ghana’s insurance landscape. Traditional business models are gradually giving way to digital ecosystems that prioritise accessibility and user experience.
As more insurers adopt similar models, competition is likely to intensify, ultimately benefiting consumers through improved products and services.
For now, the collaboration stands as a promising example of how technology and insurance can intersect to create meaningful impact. By combining Enterprise Life’s industry experience with Figtech’s technological innovation, the two companies are charting a path toward a more inclusive and digitally driven insurance market.
In a world where uncertainty is constant, access to reliable protection has never been more important. Through MyFigTech, life insurance may soon become not just a product for a few but a practical and attainable solution for many Ghanaians.
