Hearts of Oak head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani has urged his players and supporters to remain united and focused as the Phobians prepare for their Ghana Premier League encounter against newly crowned champions Medeama SC on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Phobians head into the fixture under pressure to secure all three points as they continue their push to finish the season strongly.
Hearts currently occupy third place and could climb into second position should Bibiani GoldStars slip up in their final home fixture.
Their task, however, will not come easy against a Medeama side arriving in Accra full of confidence after sealing their second Ghana Premier League title last weekend with an emphatic 5-2 victory over Heart of Lions in Tarkwa.

The first-round meeting between both clubs ended in a narrow 1-0 victory for Medeama, a result Hearts will be eager to overturn in front of their home supporters.
Dramani Demands Collective Spirit
Speaking ahead of the game, Dramani stressed the importance of maintaining a strong culture and identity within the club despite the pressures that come with competitive football. “We want to build around the club so that we can all understand each other at every time,” the Hearts coach said during his pre-match press briefing.
The experienced tactician acknowledged the emotional swings that naturally come with football but insisted the team must remain mentally strong regardless of the circumstances. “Sometimes the game becomes difficult, sometimes the game becomes very interesting and that is part of the love of the game,” he stated.
Hearts have built their campaign on defensive discipline this season. The Phobians boast the best defensive record in the league, conceding only 13 goals in 33 matches while keeping an impressive 24 clean sheets.
Their defensive resilience will be severely tested against a Medeama side that has emerged as the league’s most prolific attacking force this season.
The Yellow and Mauves have consistently outscored opponents throughout the campaign and showed their attacking quality again in the title-clinching victory over Heart of Lions.

Dramani admitted there will always be obstacles during a football season but believes overcoming difficult moments together is what defines successful teams. “Sometimes there will be challenges, sometimes there will be happiness and sometimes there will be moments where we have to reflect and try to do things in a better way,” he explained.
The former Black Galaxies coach also called on the Hearts faithful to continue supporting the team as they seek to end the season on a positive note.
“So we should bear in mind all these aspects and continue to rally behind the team. There will be weaknesses, there will be strengths, there will be challenges but we need to align and we need to fight together.”

Sunday’s encounter is expected to be cagey with Hearts aiming to avenge their first-round defeat while Medeama seek to cap their title-winning season with another statement performance.
Victory would not only strengthen Hearts’ hold on a top-three finish but could also provide momentum heading into the next season. For Medeama, the pressure may be lower after already securing the title, but pride remain significant motivations for the champions elect.

The tactical battle between Didi Dramani’s Hearts’ league-best defence and Coach Ibrahim Tanko’s Medeama’s free-scoring attack could ultimately define the outcome of what promises to be one of the standout fixtures of the weekend on final day.
With both clubs carrying strong ambitions and contrasting strengths into the contest, fans can expect an intense battle under the lights in Accra.
