Real Madrid have secured the continuation of one of the most enduring commercial relationships in world football after announcing a new agreement with Emirates that will keep the airline as the club’s principal sponsor until 2031.
The renewal strengthens a partnership that began in 2011 and has grown into one of the most recognizable sponsorship agreements in the sport. Emirates first appeared as a sponsor of the Spanish giants before becoming the club’s main shirt partner in 2013, a role it will now continue for another five years.
Under the new deal, Emirates will remain the official airline and front-of-shirt sponsor for Real Madrid’s men’s and women’s football teams. The airline’s branding will continue to feature prominently on match jerseys, training kits and coaching staff apparel throughout the duration of the agreement.

The extension also cements a commercial alliance that has coincided with one of the most successful periods in the club’s history, spanning numerous domestic and international triumphs while helping elevate the global profiles of both organizations.
A Record-Breaking Partnership
The latest agreement represents a significant milestone for both parties, with the partnership set to become the longest-running shirt sponsorship arrangement in LaLiga history.

Beyond its presence on team kits, Emirates will maintain extensive visibility across Real Madrid’s operations, including branding opportunities at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. The agreement also grants the airline continued access to the club’s training facilities and the exclusive Emirates Lounge within the stadium.
Emirates Executive Vice President of Corporate Communications, Marketing and Brand, Boutros Boutros, highlighted the importance of the relationship and its impact on supporters worldwide. “Emirates has a long history of supporting football, connecting with millions of people, and bringing communities together through our shared passion for the sport.”
He added that the collaboration with Real Madrid demonstrates the airline’s commitment to supporters by “placing fans at the heart of the game, giving them access to unforgettable moments, and inspiring the next generation of supporters and players.”
Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez also welcomed the extension, describing it as a reflection of the strong bond established between the two organizations over the years.
“This agreement is a partnership that reflects the very special relationship we have built over the years. We have been and continue to be together during one of the most successful periods in our history.”

Basketball and Global Reach Strengthened
The renewed alliance goes beyond football. Real Madrid confirmed that Emirates will also become the official main sponsor of the club’s basketball division through a multi-year arrangement running until 2031.
The expanded agreement further enhances the airline’s footprint across the club’s sporting structure, while also extending support to youth development programmes.

Over the years, the partnership has produced several high-profile promotional campaigns. Emirates has featured Real Madrid stars on specially branded aircraft, including its flagship A380 fleet, while a dedicated Boeing 777 was previously used for charter operations connected to the Spanish Super Cup in Saudi Arabia.
Both organizations have also collaborated on fan engagement initiatives, including player meet-and-greet events, matchday experiences and interactive competitions designed to bring supporters closer to the club.
With the extension now confirmed, Real Madrid and Emirates will continue a partnership that has become a benchmark in global sports sponsorship, combining the worldwide appeal of one of football’s most successful clubs with the international reach of one of the aviation industry’s leading brands. The new agreement ensures that the two institutions will remain closely linked well into the next decade as they pursue further success on and off the field.
