Spirit Festival featuring Cina Soul

As the vibrant rhythms of Ghanaian music continue to echo across the nation, soul sensation Cina Soul is set to headline a major highlight of the inaugural Spirit Festival, taking place from August 7 to 9, 2026, at the Kalabash Event Complex in Pokuase.

This three-day cultural extravaganza promises an unforgettable blend of music, heritage, and community spirit in one of Accra’s fastest-growing areas.

Organized by Ottobi Entertainment, the Spirit Festival emerges as Ghana’s newest cultural gathering, deeply rooted in Ga traditions and strategically timed with the Homowo season. Homowo, meaning “hooting at hunger” in the Ga language, commemorates the Ga people’s historical triumph over famine during their migration centuries ago.

The festival celebrates resilience, bountiful harvests, and communal gratitude through rituals, music, dance, and feasting. Spirit Festival builds on this rich legacy, transforming it into a modern, multi-day experience that honors heritage while embracing contemporary entertainment.

Cina Soul, born Christie Quincyna Quarcoopome on May 3, 1996, in Accra, brings her signature soulful sound to the event. A proud Ga native from Jamestown, her music seamlessly fuses highlife, Afro-pop, neo-soul, and jazz influences.

She rose to prominence as a finalist in the 2014 Vodafone Ghana Music Icons competition. Her 2016 debut project “Metanoia” featured collaborations with artists like M.anifest, Worlasi, and KiDi, propelling her into the spotlight with hits such as “Awo” and “Julor.”

Signed to Universal Music Group in 2018, Cina Soul has released notable tracks like “Adukwei” (performed in Ga ahead of Homowo), “Waiting” featuring Camidoh, and the 2025 collaboration “Larger Than Life” with Stonebwoy. Her artistry draws from personal experiences and icons like Anita Baker, Brandy, Sade, and Aretha Franklin.

Singing in both English and Ga, she embodies cultural pride while appealing to a broad audience. Her involvement in projects like the Black Girls Glow collective further highlights her commitment to empowering voices.

Festival goers can expect Cina Soul to deliver a powerful set filled with her velvety vocals and heartfelt melodies. Other performers, including Fameye, add to the lineup, ensuring a dynamic mix of established stars and emerging talent.

The event spans three distinct days: a welcome party and vendor fair on Friday, an artist night with jams on Saturday, and a symposium or reflective session on Sunday, blending entertainment with cultural dialogue.

The venue, Kalabash Event Complex at ACP Estate Junction in Pokuase, offers a premier setting. Developed as part of Ottobi Holdings’ ecosystem which includes logistics, estates, and entertainment, it provides state-of-the-art facilities for large-scale events.

Pokuase’s rapid growth makes it an accessible hub for residents from Accra and beyond, promising convenient access and a lively atmosphere.

Beyond Music

Beyond music, Spirit Festival aims to foster community and economic impact. Vendor fairs will showcase local crafts, food, and businesses, supporting entrepreneurs.

The integration with Homowo ties the event to deeper spiritual and historical significance, where rituals honor ancestors and celebrate abundance. In a country where music festivals increasingly drive tourism and youth engagement, this initiative by Ottobi stands out for its cultural authenticity and professional execution.

Cina Soul’s participation carries special resonance given her Ga roots and past Homowo-linked releases. Her performances often blend contemporary production with traditional elements, creating moments that feel both nostalgic and forward-looking.

Attendees can anticipate high-energy sets interspersed with reflective ballads that capture the festival’s “spirit.”

As Ghana’s music industry thrives, bolstered by global stars like Stonebwoy, Burna Boy collaborations, and local awards like the 3Music Awards and Telecel Ghana Music Awards -events like Spirit Festival play a crucial role.

They provide platforms for artists, create jobs in production and logistics, and preserve intangible cultural heritage amid urbanization.

Organizers from Ottobi Entertainment highlight the festival as more than entertainment: it’s a platform for cultural continuity and innovation. With integrated operations across their holding company, they ensure seamless logistics, from sound and lighting to security and hospitality.

This model could set a benchmark for future events in Ghana and across Africa.

For music lovers, culture enthusiasts, and families, the Spirit Festival offers a perfect August getaway. As temperatures cool slightly post-rains and Homowo festivities build nationwide, Pokuase will pulse with energy from 5 PM daily.

Cina Soul expressed excitement in promotional materials, inviting fans to “come and enjoy good music.” Her set is expected to feature favorites from “Did I Lie” and newer releases, possibly including surprise collaborations fitting the festive mood.

In an era where digital streaming dominates, live experiences like this remind audiences of music’s communal power. Spirit Festival 2026 could mark the beginning of an annual tradition, growing in stature alongside established events while carving its unique niche in Ga heritage celebration.

This event highlights Ghana’s dynamic cultural landscape, where tradition fuels innovation. Mark your calendars for August 7-9 , Pokuase awaits with open arms and soaring melodies.
