The Management of the Ghana Education Service (GES) has moved to clarify concerns raised by some newly promoted teachers who reported being directed to submit application letters, alongside their promotion letters and other documents, for the processing of salary adjustments reflecting their new ranks.
In a statement addressing the matter, GES Management explained that it had received these concerns from affected teachers, prompting the need for immediate clarification on the standard process governing salary adjustments following promotion.
According to GES, teachers who are promoted to new ranks are usually placed automatically on the appropriate salary scale to reflect their new positions, without requiring any additional documentation beyond what has already been processed through the promotion exercise itself.
