Ghanaian fashion icon Nana Akua Addo has filed for divorce from her estranged husband, Harold Duodu Norman, with substantial demands for financial settlement and property, according to media personality Vim Lady.
The petition was lodged through her lawyers on April 20, 2026, several months before videos and photographs related to an alleged physical altercation between the couple circulated widely online.
Vim Lady reported that Nana Akua Addo is seeking GH¢10 million from Norman. She is also demanding full ownership of their matrimonial home, a three-bedroom house located at Nmai Dzorn, and three apartments situated near Galaxy International School.
In addition, the fashion personality is reportedly asking for a Toyota Prado, a 2022 Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon, and a 40 per cent shareholding in companies owned by her husband.
The media personality stated that lawyers representing Nana Akua Addo believe they have sufficient evidence to support their client’s claims that the marriage has broken down irretrievably. Vim Lady further noted that approximately four cases involving the couple are currently pending before the courts.

These include the divorce petition and about three criminal matters linked to the recent allegations of assault.
About Nana Akua Addo
Nana Akua Addo, whose full name is Rosemond Akua Adobea, is a well-known figure in Ghana’s fashion and entertainment industry. Harold Duodu Norman has largely maintained a lower public profile.
Their marital difficulties have drawn significant public attention following the online circulation of videos showing Nana Akua Addo with visible injuries, including a swollen lip.
The Criminal Investigations Department of the Ghana Police Service has confirmed that it received a petition from Nana Akua Addo on August 20, 2026. In the petition, she alleged that her husband had subjected her to physical, emotional and economic abuse.
Preliminary investigations established that the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit at the Lakeside and Ministries Police Stations had previously handled a related matter involving the couple in July 2026.
Harold Norman was arrested at his residence on August 27, 2026, to assist with investigations. He provided a caution statement and was granted police enquiry bail with two sureties on August 29. He was scheduled to appear in court on October 7, 2026, but his lawyer informed police that he had been admitted to hospital and was unable to attend.
Police investigators have since visited the hospital to verify the claim and stated that Norman will be arraigned upon his discharge.

Lawyers acting for Harold Norman have disputed the narrative surrounding the viral videos. In a statement, they claimed that the injury visible in the circulating material occurred in 2021 during an altercation in which Nana Akua Addo allegedly attempted to stab their client.
They further alleged that this was not the first such incident during the marriage. The lawyers maintained that the matter is already the subject of both criminal investigations by DOVVSU and ongoing civil proceedings.

The couple’s relationship has previously been marked by public reports of challenges, including allegations of infidelity. Nana Akua Addo has spoken in earlier interviews about difficulties within the marriage. The current legal proceedings represent an escalation of those long-standing issues into formal court processes.
As the divorce case and related criminal matters proceed, both parties continue to be represented by legal counsel. No official court documents detailing the full list of claims have been publicly released beyond the reports attributed to Vim Lady.

The outcome of the various cases will depend on evidence presented before the courts.
The developments have generated widespread discussion on social media and in Ghanaian entertainment circles, reflecting public interest in the private lives of prominent figures. Police have urged the public to allow ongoing investigations to take their course without interference.
Further court appearances and updates from the Criminal Investigations Department are expected in the coming weeks as the cases progress. Both Nana Akua Addo and Harold Duodu Norman have yet to issue comprehensive personal statements addressing the latest reports on the divorce demands.
