The Constituency Youth Organisers of the National Democratic Congress, representing 33 constituencies in the Eastern Region, alongside Tein Presidents and Patrons, have expressed their unwavering confidence in the Eastern Regional Youth Organizer of the party, Commander Richard Etornam Nyarko, affectionately known as ‘Blibo’.
In a statement released on Thursday, October 19 2023 and signed by the group, it indicated that despite the challenges and obstacles the National Democratic Congress Eastern Regional Youth Organizer confronted in his journey to his current leadership position, including legal hurdles that reached the highest court of the land, his resolute spirit and dedication to the cause of the party has prevailed.
“We, the youth organizers, have wholeheartedly embraced Commander Blibo’s vision for our region, and we pledge our unyielding commitment and support to his leadership. We also extend an open invitation to all others to join us on this exciting journey towards a brighter future for our Eastern Region”.

The group further recounted that since Mr Etornam Nyarko assumed his role as the Regional Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress, he has exhibited unparalleled dedication to laying the groundwork necessary for the victory of the party in the 2024 general elections.
Again, the group also noted that Mr Etornam Nyarko has swiftly and efficiently established the structures required to ensure a smooth electoral process, highlighting his commitment to the democratic process of the party and the country at large.
“One of his notable initiatives is the implementation of his pet project, which aims to provide access to the voters’ register at every polling station. This innovative approach will aid in identifying and engaging with the youth in every polling station, thus empowering and mobilizing them for active participation on Election Day”.

Group Calls On Other Youth Organizers To Emulate Mr. Etornam Nyarko
Moreover, the group of Constituency Youth Organizers, Tein Executives and Patrons of the National Democratic Congress in the Eastern Region called on other Regional Youth Organizers’ of the party to emulate the leadership style of Mr. Etornam Nyarko.
According to the group, Mr. Etornam Nyarko’s constant visits to constituencies in the region devoid of discrimination are testament to his readiness to collaborate with all segments of the party to mobilize for the party to win power in the election 2024.

It could be recalled that on October 12 2023, a group of Constituency Youth Organizers in the Eastern Region of the National Democratic Congress issued a press statement condemning the leadership style of the Regional Youth Organizer, Richard Etornam Nyarko and called for inclusive leadership.
The group accused Mr Richard Etornam Nyarko of his apparent inclinations to unilateral decisions, disregard for established channels and disregard for the National Youth leadership among others.
“The undersigned NDC constituency youth organizers in the Eastern Region, find it imperative to voice out our grave concerns regarding the disturbing current trajectory of leadership by the Eastern Regional Youth Organizer, Mr. Richard Etornam Nyarko”.

Richard Etornam Nyarko unseated his former boss, Okai Mintah in the recent National Democratic Congress Regional Election.
Richard Etornam popularly called Bilbo polled 55 of the total votes to unseat the incumbent, Emmanuel Okai Mintah who garnered 52 votes.
