Nigerian singer, Ayra Starr has faced backlash on social media after a video surfaced of her enthusiastically dancing to Naira Marley’s latest song, “Pxy Drip”.

The controversy surrounding Naira Marley’s involvement in the death of his signee, Mohbad, has led to a joint boycott of his music and associated artists, including Zinoleesky and Sam Larry.

However, despite the proposed boycott, Naira Marley’s new song has managed to gain significant traction on TikTok and streaming platforms, with many fans vibing to its nostalgic sound.

In a recent development, a video captured Ayra Starr grooving to the track, dishing out various captivating dance moves.

In reaction to the clip, many expressed disappointment and called for Ayra Starr to be canceled for her perceived endorsement of Naira Marley’s music.

Captioning the clip, an X wrote: “I’m so disappointed in Ayra Starr for listening and promoting Naira Marley’s song. We need to cancel her!”

Netizens commented on the X user’s post criticizing Ayra Starr.

Famous singer, Naira Marley is undoubtedly thrilled to see his song “Pxy Drip” gaining massive attention online despite comments from critics.

Despite being canceled by social media users months ago due to his alleged involvement in the death of his ex-signee Mohbad, Naira Marley’s new song has become a viral track among Nigerians.

The song’s popularity has also led to it being featured on the top 10 list on the Apple Music Chart.

Recently, Mavin signee Ayra Starr and Nollywood actress Regina Daniels were spotted dancing to the song, and Naira Marley couldn’t help but react.

He reposted the videos of the two women vibing to his song on his Instagram stories, clearly excited to see his music being enjoyed by fans.

The videos showed Regina Daniels and Ayra Starr grooving enthusiastically to the song which earned them criticisms accordingly.

In other news, Naira Marley fired back at critics on social media after they criticized his fans, including Ayra Starr, for listening to his music.

Despite facing backlash over the death of his former record label signee, Mohbad, Naira Marley’s music managed to pierce through the hearts of Nigerian music lovers once again, and his critics have been slamming those who still vibe to his songs.

In a series of tweets, Naira Marley condemned his critics, telling them to shut up and cry a river.

“Y’all now vibing to Naira Marley’s new music blah blah blah…. Yes, they are…Shut the fvck up and cry me a river😂😂 Won fe mo idi.”

He also asked who said there were no more Marlians, implying that his fanbase is still strong.

“If a group of people team up against you, understand how powerful you are alone, because they do! ‘Who said no more Marlians?’”

Naira Marley’s response was sparked by the criticism he faced on social media, where some netizens accused his fans of being hypocritical for listening to his music despite canceling him online.
