Chelsea secured a 2-1 victory against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium to delay the host’s title-winning party.

Man. City took the lead in the first half after a mis-control from Aguero allowed Sterling to find the net for the first time in 13 games. Aguero had a chance to double City’s lead from the penalty spot before halftime. However, his Panenka was read and saved by Chelsea’s goalkeeper, Edouard Mendy.

Chelsea dominated in the second half and got a deserved equalizer through a very precise finish by Hakim Ziyech.  The blues then saw goals from Timo Werner and Callum Hudson-Odoi ruled out for offside before a last-gasp finish from Marcos Alonso secured all three points.

Aston Villa 1-3 Man Utd

Comeback kings, Manchester United, once again fought back from a goal down to beat Aston Villa 3-1 at Villa Park.

Villa took the lead midway through the first half as Bertrand Traore turned and produced a fine effort into the top corner.

However, United came out roaring in the second half and got an equalizer through Bruno Fernandes’ penalty after Douglas Luiz had clumsily fouled Paul Pogba. Mason Greenwood put United ahead after finding the bottom right corner with a fine turn and finish.

Substitute, Edinson Cavani then wrapped up the points with a classy header on the 87th minute to secure all three points.

The result means United are now unbeaten in 25 away games and have won 31 points from losing positions, the most of any Premier League side.

Liverpool 2-0 Southampton

Liverpool kept their top-four hopes alive with a 2-0 win over Southampton at Anfield.

Both sides had clear chances in an open first half, but Liverpool got the opener as Sadio Mane rose above Kyle Walker-Peters to convert Mohamed Salah’s cross.

Summer signing, Thiago Alcantara then put the game beyond the determined Saints with his first goal for Liverpool. The Spanish midfielder struck with a fine low effort from outside the box into the bottom right corner.

The result leaves Liverpool six points off fourth-place Leicester, with a game in hand.

Leicester 2-4 Newcastle

Newcastle secured a resounding 4-2 win at Leicester, to deal a blow to the host’s top four ambitions.

The visitors took a 2-0 lead in the first half after Joe Willock took full advantage of a Caglar Soyuncu error to give his side the lead before Paul Dummett rose unopposed to head in the second.

In the second half, Newcastle striker, Callum Wilson pounced on a Timothy Castagne mistake for the third goal before making it 4-0 from an acute angle after his initial effort had rebounded off the inside of the post.

Marc Albrighton reduced the deficit with a rifled finish before Kelechi Iheanacho continued his scoring form with what ended up being a consolation goal.

Leeds 3-1 Tottenham

Tottenham’s hopes of finishing the season inside the Premier League’s top four took a huge blow as they suffered a 3-1 defeat at Leeds United.

Stuart Dallas gave the hosts the lead in the 13th minute but Tottenham equalized in the 25th minute through Heung-Min Son.

Leeds then regained the lead just before half-time as Patrick Bamford converted Ezgjan Alioski’s cut-back from close range.

Spurs, who saw two Harry Kane goals correctly ruled out for offside, had chances in the second half but couldn’t find the back of the net. Their wastefulness in front of goal was punished by Leeds’ substitute Rodrigo, who added the goal for the hosts to seal all three points.

Arsenal 3-1 West Brom

Arsenal beat West Brom 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium, a result that saw West Brom relegated from the Premier League.

The Gunners took the lead when Bukayo Saka, playing at left-back, crossed for Emile Smith Rowe to volley home.

Arsenal doubled their advantage soon afterwards when Nicolas Pepe cut inside from the right flank and curled a stunning effort beyond the outstretched Sam Johnstone.

West Brom pulled a goal back in superb style when Matheus Pereira broke forward from inside his own half and, with Arsenal defenders backing off him, fired a diagonal shot into the corner.

The visitors piled pressure on Arsenal after the goal but Willian made the result safe when he found the top corner with a brilliant free-kick for his first Arsenal goal.

The result means that West Brom coach, Sam Allardyce also suffered relegation from the Premier League for the first time in his career.

West Ham 0-1 Everton

West Ham suffered a major blow to their Champions League hopes as Everton beat them 1-0 at the London Stadium

Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored the crucial goal on 24 minutes as he latched onto Ben Godfrey’s through ball to steer his low shot beyond Lukasz Fabianski.

West Ham missed several chances to get back into the game with Said Benrahma missing a glorious first-half chance before Vladimir Coufal struck the inside of the post after the interval.

Wolves 2-1 Brighton

Wolves secured a 2-1 victory against Brighton at Molineux thanks to a last-gasp Gibbs-White goal.

The Seagulls took the lead in the first half thanks to Dunk’s towering header on 13 minutes. However, Brighton was left to play the final 37 minutes with 10 men after Dunk grabbed Fabio Silva’s shirt as he ran through on goal.

Wolves, substitute Adama Traore got a equalizer for Wolves in the second half, rifling a shot past Rui Patricio.

Gibbs-White had passed up a great chance to score his side’s second when he blasted over from 16 yards with the goal at his mercy. But he made no mistake from a similar position with 90 minutes on the clock, earning Wolves a first-ever win over Brighton in the top flight.

Sheffield United 0-2 Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace ended a winless run of five games with a 2-0 victory at Sheffield United.

Christian Benteke gave the hosts an early lead with a deflected shot after just 66 seconds.

Benteke was then denied a second goal from close-range by a fine first-half Aaron Ramsdale save, before drilling a shot against the post after the break.

Eberechi Eze, then put the game beyond Sheffield as his deflected shot beat Ramsdale to secure all three points for the visitors.
