The Honourable Ahmed Ibrahim has asserted that the current administration has provided a definitive masterclass in national governance for future academic study.

He said that under the reign of His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, the current government has been able to meet all its goals.

The Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs highlighted the disciplined nature of the executive arm.

He noted that coaching from the Chief of Staff ensured that no minister faced any corruption scandals.

President Mahama received praise for his strategic vision during the ongoing “Resetting Ghana” national agenda.

Honourable Ahmed Ibrahim explained that the governance blueprint deserved a place in university curricula to teach effective leadership.

“President Mahama, you have taught Ghanaians how to rule a country. So if I say that this blueprint of yours must be recorded and sent to the Political Science Department to teach Ghanaians, both NPP and NDC, how we want Ghana to be governed and how we can build Ghana together, this is what I mean.”

The Minister compared the current progress of the nation with that of the previous administration.

He remarked that former leaders taught the nation how not to rule while the incumbent has demonstrated the opposite.

Ghanaian citizens have witnessed a transformation in how the state manages internal resources and development.

The Eastern Regional Minister, Honourable Linda Akosua Adjei Awatey received specific commendation for completing every assigned target well ahead of schedule.

The regional leadership team has worked in perfect harmony with local executives and traditional authorities.

Honourable Ibrahim urged other officials to learn from the efficiency demonstrated by the Eastern Region administration which has been under the guidance of the President.

He stated that global leaders have acknowledged the success of the Ghanaian President through various prestigious international appointments.

The Minister noted that all fifty-four African presidents unanimously selected Mahama as Continental Vice President.

This international recognition has positioned Ghana as a leading light on the African continent once again.

The Minister said he wished His Excellency Mahama would assume the role of Continental President in the coming year due to this consensus.

He also noted that other Ghanaian officials have secured high-ranking positions within the African Parliament and various regional bodies, further adding that the Speaker of Parliament currently presides over the African Speakers Association under this administration.

The Minister insisted that the current era has made Ghana the toast of the world. He expressed gratitude for the leadership that has restored national pride and international standing in a short period.

Massive Infrastructure Growth Defined By Record Breaking Fiscal Releases

The Minister also provided a detailed account of the massive infrastructure projects currently spanning across the thirty-three districts.

He confirmed that every district has benefited from the innovative 24-hour economy market initiative.

The Government successfully completed 826 projects within the Eastern Region alone.

These developments reached every corner of the Akwamu, Akyem, Kwahu, Krobo, and Koforidua areas without exception.

The administration prioritised basic amenities by drilling at least ten boreholes in each district. It also established numerous health facilities and classrooms to improve the lives of rural dwellers.

Direct financial releases to local assemblies have increased significantly under the current presidency.

The MP for Banda Ahenkro revealed that the government released five billion Cedis for the Common Fund in one year.

The previous administration managed to release only 1.7 billion Cedis over an eight-year period. This comparison showed that current annual funding far outweighs the total efforts of the past decade.

The District Development Fund received 738 million Cedis in just twelve months.

This figure nearly matched the entire eight-year output of the preceding government’s financial commitments.

“So when you make the comparison, what you have done in one year far outweighs what they did in four years and is almost comparable to what they did in eight years. That is why I said this must be documented so that future leaders will be taught how it is happening.”

The Minister emphasised that the government achieved these feats without relying on expensive Eurobond loans.

He recalled times when Parliament felt pressured to approve loans to prevent national economic strain.

The current executive team has demonstrated that the nation possesses sufficient resources to fund its own growth.

Honourable Ibrahim stated that the only variable that changed was the person in the front seat. He also added that the current has a commitment to the “Resetting Ghana” development agenda.
