The University of Ghana, Legon, will today, Thursday, July 30, 2020, hold its virtual congregation for final year undergraduate students.
The congregation will be held for the College of Humanities (School of Law), College of Health Sciences (University of Ghana Medical School & University of Ghana Dental School) after students took their supplementary examinations at the University.
The ceremony has become necessary for these students as they will need their certificates to progress with professional training, starting from August 2020.
The decision to hold virtual graduation comes on the back of the outbreak of COVID-19 which has called for the adherence to social distancing protocols.
According to a statement from the University, it said this virtual congregation will be a good opportunity for the University to test run the idea of a virtual congregation for small groups of graduating students.
