Popular Ugandan singer, Pallaso, has been forced to sweep the streets of Masaka City and apologize to his fans after he turned up late for a music show.

Pallaso was supposed to perform at a concert at Maria Flo Hotel in Masaka. According to reports, the show that also featured several other local stars went on well until it was Pallaso’s time to step on stage and he was nowhere to be found.

Revelers, who had paid their money, with the excitement of watching the headlining artist’s performance, demanded the organizers to produce the singer on stage. They, however, waited for several hours before Pallaso showed up to an already angry crowd that had turned chaotic.

They were not ready to let him sing at that moment and after deep conversations with the organizers, it was resolved that he would perform the next day, reports revealed.

To apologize for his act, Pallaso gathered a few of his friends and subjected themselves to community work. They swept some of the streets in the Masaka center as they interacted with the locals.

It didn’t just end there, Pallaso issued an apology on social media through series of posts and asked his fans to forgive him.

“To all my fans in Masaka, I sincerely apologize for making it late for the show last night. I understand why you ran out of patience and the situation went out of hand. It was my fault and I am truly sorry. I have swept a few streets with my friends downtown Masaka today to remind you that I am your son and you mean the world to me”.

In another post, the singer wrote: “I can’t be anything without you. I hope my apology will bring you nearer to me. I am so sorry for hurting you. Forgive me please”.

A couple of netizens applauded his gesture, for accepting his fault and apologizing for it.

Pallaso sets focus on Grammys

It appears that the benchmark for most artists now is to bag a Grammy and Pallaso is one of those many artists who are striving to win one for their country. Pallaso recently disclosed that he is currently focusing on winning a Grammy award, since the MTV MAMA awards which he was close to winning were postponed.

The ‘Mallamu’ hit singer opened up on his wishful thinking to win a Grammy while speaking to the media.

Pallaso noted that he will bring a Grammy award to the people of Uganda because he is a believer and the love that has been shown to him by his fans makes him feel confident that anytime soon, he would win it.

The singer bragged that if it wasn’t for the postponement of the MTV MAMA awards, he would have already bagged at least one international award for Uganda. He maintained that his focus is now on winning a Grammy and that he talked to the organizers of the prestigious awards who disclosed to him that he is very close to winning it thus advising him to put in more effort in his musical works.

“The Grammy Awards organizing committee told my team that I need to invest more time and effort into my craft to make the cut into the list of artists to be considered for Grammy nominations. They told us that we are very close to making the cut, so anytime now we will be there”.
