Ghanaian award-winning artiste, KiDi has announced that he will be releasing an album this coming June.
Titled ‘The Golden Boy’, the 3Music Awards ‘Artist of the Year’ made this announcement on his Twitter page. Posting a picture of the album cover, Kidi wrote: “THE GOLDEN BOY ALBUM… COMING THIS JUNE”

Netizens who sighted his post have reacted to it. Most of his fans are seriously anticipating the album release. Some also said it was a perfect timing. Meanwhile, others are looking out for some collaborations with other A-list artists especially one with Shatta Wale. Some also questioned if this album will also come in the form of a movie just like his album ‘Sugar’. More so, others admonished him to keep working hard. Some reactions to his post read:
Meanwhile, it can be recalled that Kidi released a song just last month. The Lynx Entertainment signee released a banger titled ‘Spiritual’. The song features co-signee and reigning VGMA ‘Artiste of the Year’ Kuami Eugene and one of Nigeria’s finest musicians, Paoranking. The song was produced by KiDi and Richie Mensah, CEO of Lynx Entertainment, and the video was directed by Rex.
KiDi allowed his soothing voice to do the magic while Kuami Eugene did justice to the melody. Patoranking came with a touch of dancehall which really gives the ‘Spiritual’ song a touch of gold.

That notwithstanding, Kidi in an interview disclosed that the theme of the song is Love, “where the word ‘spiritual’ is used to capture the feeling and connection a man has for a woman he loves”.
More so, the song which trended on social media received massive reactions from fans. Most of them started to rate the best vocal king on the song, tagged #VocalKingChallenge. It is also worth noting that the music upon few hours of its release amassed over seventy thousand views. Currently, it has over one million views and over two hundred and five thousand likes.
Also, KiDi recently signed a deal with MadeInENY and Empire (American music distributing companies) to market his works across the globe. Nonetheless, KiDi emerged as the ultimate winner of the just ended 3Music awards as was pronounced ‘Artist of the Year’.
