The December 2023 national poll by Global Info-Analytics has indicated that nearly three-quarters of Ghanaian voters have made up their minds on who they intend to vote for in the December 2024 elections. The poll provided a breakdown of the current state of voter intentions, leading to the 2024 elections.

According to the poll by Global Info-Analytics, 67% of Ghanaian voters have made up their minds about who they intend to vote for in the December 2024 elections.

“The poll was conducted between 22nd – 30th December 2023 with a sample of 5,881 respondents in all the 16 regions and across 82 constituencies.”

In addition, the remaining 17% of voters were neutral about changing their minds, and 16% were likely to change their voting intentions.

The analysis of the December 2023 national poll by Global Info-Analytics revealed that in the critical swing region, Greater Accra, 87% of voters said they were unlikely to change their mind (central, 79 %) and western region (57 %). This suggests that the race in the western region is more volatile than in the other regions, as highlighted by the poll.

These regional breakdowns are crucial, as they provide insights into the political dynamics of different areas within Ghana and can help predict the outcomes of the December 2024 elections.

Statistics from the Global Info-Analytics poll suggest that the Eastern region may have a higher level of political engagement and a more stable electorate compared to other regions, with fewer voters being undecided or likely to change their voting intentions.

The Global Info-Analytics poll emphasized that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has historically performed well in the Volta region, with the region known as a “world bank” for the party.

However, recent developments and discussions about the party’s performance and achievements in the region have led to some questioning the NDC’s hold in the region.

The poll by Global Info-Analytics indicated the stability of voter intentions in different regions of Ghana, with the Western region showing a higher likelihood of ‘voter volatility.’

This information provided by Global Info-Analytics is crucial for political parties and campaign strategies, as it provides insights into which regions may be more susceptible to changes in voting intentions and thus requires more focused efforts to influence voters.

The poll provided insights into key issues, such as taxes, corruption, and education, which are anticipated to be crucial factors in understanding the dynamics that will shape the outcome of the 2024 general elections.

This information is based on the findings of the poll, which reveals an evolving landscape of voter priorities and their potential impact on the upcoming 2024 elections.
