Several Ghanaian players were in action across multiple leagues, across the globe, putting up performances backed by solid in-game statistics.
Here’s a full country by country breakdown of how some selected players fared for their various clubs over the weekend.
England
In the Premier League, Antoine Semenyo started and played 90 minutes for Manchester City in a 3-0 win against Chelsea.

In the Championship, Brandon Thomas-Asante returned to the starting XI for Coventry City but lasted 67 minutes as they drew goalless with Sheffield Wednesday. Abdul Fatawu Issahaku played the full game as Leicester City fell to a narrow 1-0 victory at home to Swansea City. He successfully completed 3/9 dribbles and made 7 ball recoveries and 1 clearance and won 1/1 tackles in the game. Jordan Ayew played 28 minutes for Leicester City over the weekend.
Osman Ibrahim also started for the 5th consecutive time for Birmingham City as they beat Wrexham 2-0. He won 50% of his tackles (1/2).
France
In Ligue 1, Kojo Oppong Peprah returned to the starting XI for OGC Nice and played the whole game as they recorded a 1-1 draw with Le Havre. He completed 5 clearances, made 1 interception and won 1/1 tackles.
Alidu Seidu started again and played 72 minutes for Stade Rennes and helped them secure a 2-1 win over Angers. The defender helped by completing 1 clearance, recovering the ball 2 times and winning 100% of his tackles (1/1).
Gideon Mensah played 90 minutes for Auxerre in a goalless draw with Nantes. He was solid defensively, making 9 ball recoveries, completed 2 clearances and won 3/3 of the tackles he attempted. In same game, Elisha Owusu also played 90 minutes and was in superb form for Auxerre. He made 10 ball recoveries, 1 interception and 2 clearances as well as winning 100% of his tackles.
In Ligue 2, Augustine Boakye played 54 minutes and made his 8th assists in the French Ligue 2 in their 2-1 home win over Dunkerque. He successfully completed 4/5 dribbles attempted in the game while making 2 recoveries and 1 clearance.
Spain

In La Liga 2, Samuel Obeng played just the final 12 minutes for Albacete who lost 2-1 to Leganes.
Kwasi Sibo played 90 minutes for Real Oviedo as they beat Celta Vigo 3-0 in the La Liga. He made 5 ball recoveries, 4 Clearances, 2 interceptions and won 2/3 of his tackles.
Also, Inaki Williams played 82 minutes for Athletic Club Bilbao but they suffered an excruciating 2-1 defeat at home to Villarreal while Joseph Aidoo played 90 minutes for Celta Vigo in their 3-0 defeat to Real Oviedo.
Germany
In the Bundesliga, Derrick Kohn played 62 minutes for Union Berlin in a 3-1 loss to Heidenheim. Kohn made 4 ball recoveries in the game.
In Bundesliga 2, Patrick Pfeiffer completed the full game for Darmstadt but they lost 2-0 to Hanover. He made 5 ball recoveries, 3 clearances, 1 interception and 1 block shot while maintaining a 100% tackle success rate (1/1).
Italy
Sulemana Ibrahim was an unused sub for Cagliari as they beat Cremonese 1-0 in the Italian Serie A.
Turkey
Jerome Opoku started and lasted the entire game for Istanbul Basaksehir as they dispatched Genclerbirligi 3-0. He recorded a 92% pass completion rate (46/50). He made 4 ball recoveries, 2 interceptions and 1 clearance.

Nicholas Opoku made a cameo appearance coming on for the last 5 minutes plus added time for Kasimpasa in their game against Goztepe.
In the second tier, Felix Afena-Gyan played 45 minutes for Amedspor in a 1-1 draw away to Erokspor.

Belgium

Jerry Afriyie played 90 minutes for the 3rd consecutive time for RAAL La Louviere in a 3-0 defeat to Cercle Brugge KSV. He made 5 touches in the opposition box and played 1 shot on target with an xG of 0.14.
Lawrence Agyekum made a cameo appearance, coming on for the final 8 minutes plus added time for Cercle Brugge KSV who beat RAAL La Louviere 3-0. Fuseini Mohammed also made a cameo appearance coming on in closing embers for Royale Union Saint Gilloise when they beat Mechelen 1-0 away from home.
Joseph Opoku put up a man of the match performance for Zulte Waregem, scoring a brace in their 2-1 win over Dender. He has now scored 7 goals this season and 5 assists.
Netherlands

Andre Ayew played 78 minutes for NAC Breda in a 1-1 draw against Fortuna Sittard. Kamal Sowah also played 78 minutes in the same game as NAC Breda were held to a draw. He made 3 ball recoveries and 2 interceptions in the game. Denis Odoi played 90 minutes for NAC Breda in the Dutch Eredivisie making four recoveries, 2 clearances and 1/1 successful tackles.
Switzerland

Lawrence Ati Zigi maintained his spot in goal for St. Gallen in a 2-2 draw against Luzern in the Swiss Super League while in the second tier, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh started on the bench and came on for the last 27 minutes as Aarau were held to a goalless draw in the Swiss Challenge League.
Denmark
Caleb Yirenkyi maintained his place in the Nordsjaelland team when they played a 1-all draw against Aarhus. He delivered a defensive master class, recovering the ball 4 times and completing 11 clearances. He also made 2 interceptions in the game.

Prince Amoako played 45 minutes for FC Nordsjaelland. He successfully completed 3 dribbles out of the 4 he attempted.
Russia

Alexander Djiku played 90 minutes for Spartak Moscow and helped them record a 1-all draw against FK Rostov. Djiku made 6 clearances and 1 interception. In all he won 6/8 duels he contested.
Saudi Arabia

Christopher Bonsu Baah played 90 minutes for Al Qadsiah and made his 8th assist in Saudi Pro League as they were held to a 1-all draw by Damac. He has now recorded 10 goal-involvements this season (2 goals, 8 assists).
Ireland
Joseph Anang was in goal when St. Patrick Athletic lost by a narrow 1-0 scoreline at home to Shamrock Rovers. Out of 6 shots on target faced, the goalkeeper repelled 5 of them.
South Korea
Naeem Mohammed started and lasted 66 minutes for Asan in their 1-1 with Gimhae. He provided his first assist of the season and now has 2-goal contributions in 3 games for Asan.
