Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club PLC has officially announced the appointment of Nebojsa Kapor as the club’s new Head Coach, signalling the start of what the Board of Directors is calling “a new era” for one of Ghana’s most decorated football institutions. The announcement, made on Saturday, 25th July, follows an extensive recruitment process aimed at returning the Phobians to domestic and continental prominence.
Kapor’s contract runs for two years and will expire in 2028.
The Serbian tactician arrives at Pobiman with a solid grounding in Ghanaian football, having previously managed Tema Youth FC, Bechem United FC, and Medeama SC in the Ghana Premier League.
A UEFA-licensed coach, Kapor’s tactical know-how, familiarity with the local game, and progressive coaching style were reportedly the standout factors that set him apart during the selection process.

Kapor succeeds Mas-Ud Didi Dramani, who was relieved of his duties at the end of the last campaign despite guiding the club to a third-place finish in the Ghana Premier League.

His arrival complements Kapor’s emphasis on youth development, giving the club a coach with direct oversight of the pipeline that may feed into the senior side.
