Trump Rejects Missile Stockpile Claims

Trump Rebuffs Putin’s Offer To Aid Israel-Iran Conflict Mediation

US President, Donald Trump.

U.S. President Donald Trump has dismissed media reports suggesting that the Pentagon’s missile stockpiles are running low, insisting that the United States maintains substantial reserves of munitions and is significantly expanding domestic weapons production to meet military requirements.

In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump rejected claims that U.S. weapons inventories had been depleted, describing the reports as inaccurate and asserting that the country’s defence capabilities remain strong. “The US has massive amounts of ‘munitions,’ especially of certain types,” Trump wrote.

He added that military supplies continue to be replenished through increased production by the American defence industry.

“Additionally, large amounts are being manufactured and shipped to the U.S. as needed. Defense companies are building the largest number of plants and factories in our country’s history.”

Trump’s remarks come amid heightened scrutiny of U.S. military stockpiles as tensions between Washington and Iran persist. Questions surrounding the availability of missiles and other precision-guided weapons have intensified following U.S pause in military attacks against Iran. Although the U.S President did not identify the specific reports he was responding to, recent media coverage has raised concerns about the pace at which certain munitions have been used and the ability of manufacturers to replenish inventories quickly enough to meet long-term defence needs.

Trump also used the statement to criticise those he accused of providing information to the media about the country’s military preparedness.

“The ‘leakers’ of these treasonous statements are being hunted down. Long term jail sentences will be sought!”

Trump’s assertion that defence companies are constructing “the largest number of plants and factories” reflects the administration’s broader message that domestic industrial expansion will strengthen the country’s long-term military readiness.

For now, Trump has sought to reassure the public that the United States remains well supplied with munitions while warning that his administration intends to pursue those responsible for any unauthorised disclosures concerning military capabilities.

White House Press Secretary, Karoline Leavitt also denied a report claiming that the US President confronted Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth over shortages in the country’s missile stockpiles during a meeting at Camp David.

According to the report, Trump demanded answers over why he had apparently been misled about shortages of long-range guided missiles and air-defence interceptors. It said the depleted stockpiles had influenced his decision not to launch additional large-scale attacks on Iran.

Leavitt, who said she attended the meeting with Trump and Hegseth, said, “This literally never happened.”

“This B.S. story was shopped to many outlets by someone clearly out to disparage the Secretary, for whatever reason. Unfortunately for them, the President loves the Secretary and thinks he’s doing a tremendous job. FAKE NEWS!”

Vance Defends Trump Administration’s Handling Of Negotiations With Iran

Meanwhile, U.S Vice President JD Vance defended the Trump administration’s handling of negotiations with Iran.

Speaking to a news agency, he called the Iranians “extraordinarily difficult people” and the talks a complex, uneven process. “I can certainly understand the American people are maybe looking at this, and they say, well, it seems like we’re making progress, and then it seems like we’re not,” Vance noted.

He argued that Iran is difficult to negotiate with partly because its government is divided. “The reality is that number one, the Iranians are extraordinarily difficult people,” he said.

“Number two, they have a fractured system, so there are people within their system who want the war to be over. There are also people within their system, who are crazy radicals, who want the war to continue. Our job is to navigate through that and get the best outcome for the American people, but for the president of the United States as well.”

JD Vance

He expressed confidence about reaching a deal with Iran and said the agreement would be good for the American public. “It’s going to be messy, and it’s going to take some time to get there,” he said.

“Oil, I think, was at $79 today. Those oil prices are going to come down and stay down. Iran will never have a nuclear weapon, and the United States will be in a stronger position, but we’re kind of in the middle of the game, and I think people are trying to prejudge exactly how this is going to go.”

JD Vance

He asserted that the deal is “going to go in a place that is good for the United States of America, but we’re going to use all the tools that we have – military, economic, diplomatic – to make sure we bring this thing to the right resolution.”
