Ghanaian rap icon Sarkodie has announced a new collaborative single titled “Eno Easy” featuring the award-winning twin duo DopeNation. The track is scheduled for release this Friday, August 7, 2026, and is already generating significant anticipation among fans across Ghana and the wider African music scene.

In a post shared on his X account on August 5, Sarkodie confirmed the release date and shared a vibrant cover artwork depicting himself alongside the two members of DopeNation against a colorful graffiti-style backdrop. He also provided a pre-save link for the song, writing: “As I was saying #EnoEasy OUT THIS FRIDAY 7th August.”

The announcement quoted an earlier teaser post from late July in which he stated, “Eno easy like the way you de see am.”

The title draws from Ghanaian Pidgin, roughly translating to “it’s not easy,” a phrase that resonates with themes of struggle, resilience, and perseverance often present in Sarkodie’s work. Fans have responded enthusiastically to the announcement, with many noting the rapper’s busy output this year and expressing excitement about the pairing of his sharp lyricism with DopeNation’s infectious production and melodic style.

Sarkodie, born Michael Owusu Addo on July 10, 1985, in Koforidua and raised in Tema, remains one of Africa’s most decorated and influential rappers. Known for his rapid-fire delivery, intricate wordplay in Twi and English, and ability to blend hip-hop with highlife, azonto, and afropop, he has built a career spanning more than 15 years.

His breakthrough came with the 2009 debut album Makye, followed by critically acclaimed projects such as Rapperholic (2012), Sarkology (2014), Highest (2017), Black Love (2019), No Pressure (2021), and more recent releases. He made history as the first Ghanaian to win a BET Award for Best International Act: Africa in 2012 and later claimed the inaugural Best International Flow Award at the 2019 BET Hip Hop Awards.

Beyond music, Sarkodie is an entrepreneur who runs SarkCess Music and has been active in philanthropy through the Sarkodie Foundation. His dedicated fanbase, known as Sark Nation, continues to celebrate his consistency and global reach.

DopeNation, the identical twin brothers Michael Boafo (B2) and Tony Boafo (Twist), have established themselves as both hitmakers and artists in their own right. Originating from Accra and later based in Takoradi during their education, the duo began as producers, crafting tracks for major names including Shatta Wale, Joey B, E.L, Ebony Reigns, and others.

Their own discography includes the breakthrough single “Eish” in 2018 and subsequent hits that fuse hiplife, afrobeats, and amapiano influences. They have popularized a sound sometimes referred to as “Ghanapiano,” blending South African amapiano rhythms with Ghanaian highlife and hiplife elements.

Recent successes include tracks that have gained international streaming attention, and they signed a publishing deal with Sony Music Publishing West Africa earlier this month.

The collaboration is expected to merge Sarkodie’s signature dense bars and storytelling with DopeNation’s knack for catchy, danceable production.

Public Reaction

Industry observers and fans have described it as a promising meeting of established lyricism and contemporary Ghanaian soundscapes that could appeal to both traditional hip-hop listeners and younger audiences drawn to afropop and amapiano-infused tracks.

This announcement comes amid a highly productive period for Sarkodie in 2026. Reports from fan accounts and music trackers indicate he has already contributed to multiple releases this year, including features and lead tracks with artists such as Strongman, Rudeboy of P-Square, Shatta Wale, Kweku Smoke, and others.

Supporters have praised his “back-to-back” approach, with some joking that they want even more frequent drops. In a follow-up post, Sarkodie lightheartedly warned fans, “Note: If any of you criticize my moves I’m taking down the song #EnoEasy,” a tongue-in-cheek remark that further fueled engagement and shares.

The artwork for “Eno Easy” has also drawn positive comments for its bold, cartoonish style that captures the energy of the three artists. Pre-save links have been widely circulated by music blogs, fan pages, and radio stations, helping build momentum ahead of the Friday drop. Platforms such as Ghana Music and various entertainment outlets quickly amplified the news, framing it as another strong addition to the Ghanaian music calendar.

Music analysts note that collaborations between established rappers and production-oriented acts often yield commercially successful and culturally resonant results in the Ghanaian market. Sarkodie’s history of working across genres and with diverse artists positions this track as potentially accessible while retaining the technical skill for which he is known.

DopeNation’s recent international streaming gains and focus on innovative fusions could further extend the song’s reach beyond Ghana’s borders.

As the release date approaches, social media continues to buzz with speculation about the song’s sound, possible video plans, and how it fits into Sarkodie’s broader 2026 output.

Fans have already begun sharing anticipatory posts, with some expressing hope for an accompanying music video to match the energy of the announcement. Others simply celebrated the continued activity from one of Ghana’s most consistent hitmakers.

“Eno Easy” arrives at a time when Ghanaian music maintains strong momentum on both continental and global stages. Sarkodie’s ability to remain relevant through evolving trends while staying true to his roots has been a hallmark of his career.

Pairing with DopeNation adds a fresh dimension that many listeners are eager to hear.

The single will be available on major streaming platforms starting August 7. Fans can currently pre-save it via the link provided by the artist.

In the competitive and fast-moving African music landscape, timely releases and strategic collaborations remain key. With “Eno Easy,” Sarkodie and DopeNation appear poised to deliver exactly that.
